Yuan Shu genuinely feels impossible on regular difficulty?

Idk what else I can try, I got down to 75% hp in phase 2, entire of phase 2 feels unnecesary when phase 1 on its own is a grind to begin with, danfu is also super useless and I get one shot by the ice and stone attacks in both phases...

Im lvl 140...

yeah i cant fill it in phase 2, i managed one time after a very long time, phase 1 is easy now i can do it every time pretty much but phase 2 is just ridicilous, if his morale didnt go back up to 20 at least itd be easier, idk what to do, i stay as close as i can but i take so much dmg

did you use any spells? im using a long sword that does ice damage on hit and i use no spells except one, did you deal a lot of damage per hit? i feel like i do little damage.. my sword does 458 damage apparently, but that doesnt translate to a lot during the fight

it took me forever but i got him by getting an extra ai helper, once both ai teammates go down i would revive them with qinglong's restoration summon, then use the spell inner breath to quickly refill the divine beast meter to revive the teammates again with full health so they can keep the boss occupied and also do a bit of damage to him lol.

This worked for me, using qinglong with inner breath made easy work of him, thank you!

+1 for this advice, I just beat it him after two tries with these two things after spending like an hour on him last night lol

I tried this but the boss was hyper focused on me even if I didnt engage or cast spells, he completely ignores the NPC's and kills them with his AoE's, This boss feels really impossible for a regular difficulty boss.

I truly don't know what to do at this point. Every boss so far took me 10 tries at most. But this boss. I have no clue what to do. I can get to phase two. But after that... well... I guess the 100% run stops here lol

Yes all of them, I got the achievement and dialogue for it.

Learn his patterns, then beat him. Just like every other enemy in the game.

easy, took him first time, i totally didnt have to get a bunch of plus 6 weapons and items, go in with 25 morale, try to keep my allies alive into phase 2 or use quinglong and my cure powders and lotuses. and it certainly didnt take me dozens of times over several days cause this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is so busted.

i would recommend waiting to attack till hes open just after dropping those magic attacks, and after you counter his special. maybe get one or two attacks in between his combos if you feel brave. during his second life, use lots of magic attacks (annoyingly i tried to use the ice attack where it charges and flies over time and he just spammed his ranged ice phase so they only did like 3 damage each). focus on learning to counter him and running from his big attacks. honestly i had to get a good few levels extra and some of the next level upgrade items from soaring dragon to do more damage. his second life unblockable is the fastest in the game, get ready to react pretty much the moment you see the light, especially if you are up close.

give your armour physical damage reduction % and element defence, and find a +6 weapon that gives you the premium slot that boosts your attack power super high (mine was the draught demon blade and i used the triumphant conquest glaive that gave me the option of slotting a damage boost based on armour weight AA, which is broken as hell but i couldnt find that one sadly)
