Spear of the Hegemon Kin Over 3 Star?

I've been farming for days to get a Spear of the Hegemon Kin 5 star, and despite successfully getting a ton of 5 star armor/weapons/accessories, I've never see the Spear of the Hegemon Kin over 3 star. Does it exist, and if it does, where's the best place to farm for it?

Currently I'm farming the statue sentinels on Rising Dragon difficulty, on the Behold the Glaive of Righteousness mission.

All guns, pistols and weapons can be at 5 stars, its just pure luck. This whole game is Nioh RNG, my prodigal son

Though I haven't got that particular drop yet, I am certain there is a 5* version of it.

Yes it appears that is the best place. Have you ticked all the boxes to give yourself the greatest chance for 5* drops? I've got my method pretty dialled in there now; making the killing blow when their Morale Rank icon is red (i.e. 5+ levels above you). Then when my Morale gets too high, I suicide at the Demon Commander up ahead.

I didn't even care to farm, I just play coop as a host or as a random recruit. I am gathering a horde of 5 stars. The truth is, their usefulness is marginally better than 4 starts. Don't really care. Just look pretty when you see all the green shinny stuff in your inventory.

That might be the one thing I'm doing wrong with this farming method. I'm currently morale rank 25 while the statues are 15. They still drop 5 stars, but maybe this could improve the chances.

Yes that should help, if the recent patch notes are anything to go by. Have beaten all bosses and duels too? Those were the other things they mentioned for increasing rare item drop rates.

Not only do I know (now), I've also experienced it.
I was a young man before I started farming for the 5 star Spear of Hemegon-King, and I farm for it to this day. It's been 84 years...

Really, it is too early to farm anything right now. Even if you did managed to farm something. You realized that it isn't really that worth it because the bosses are not getting any harder.

When they release the 3 dlcs... well, you might look back and think....why?

My suggestion is, just keep playing the game, solo, coop and/or pvp. Just enjoy the game.

Yeah, I think you got the right of it.

I don't know about you? I did not spend any of my precious play time farming or grinding. 80 over hours was spent to complete the game including NG+ the rest of my play time were just pvp, coop. I have now 250 over hours of play time.

I did not spend a single time repeating killing one type of boss or mob hopping for a magical green drop. I just acquire them as I go. Now I have a varied number of green sets and weapons with really good martial arts combination on them.

This is not a mmorpg, I don't need to grind. Infact 3 stars and 4 stars are good enough most of the time. Anything better is really bonus.
