Liu Bei in demon form is more challenging. I admit suck at fighting flying bosses especially those who spam spells and attack aggressively.

Thanks to the player who helped me - why doesn't Steam record players who coop in this game?
You should try NG+ coop vs Liu Bei, two friends summoned me a random, we almost had him then he one shot 2 of us in one move, while we were reviving, the host got murdered. Liu Bei only have a sliver of hp left... it was intense, a defeat but freaking awesome.

I think Liu Bei demon form can read player's attack moveset.

Initially, he spammed toxic then when I use the Cleanse spell, he used lightning constantly.
All I remember is lightings and more lightnings.. and we are dead.

Originally, Liu Bei is known for being very cautious, humane, benevolent, but also cunning, opportunistic, and manipulative.

It does makes sense that he is a zoner, spammer, flier, hit-and-run, with mix-ups combo. It is a dreadful combination but fitting for a man who, allegedly, is two-faced.

I had no problem with the him (first try in NG) until NG+ where i tried to study his moves and patterns. It was just dreadful.....

Idk if he has a short spirit gauge or he's weak to spirit damage. Compared to other bosses he seems to take more spirit damage aka easier to get stunned.

Anyway to bring him down from the air - E.g. using a projectile?

Nothing im afraid. But if you have Venom Snare on him, it will cancel out his lightning balls because of the poison cloud.

Yes, I have watched a vid about Venom Snare and build. Currently my stats are focused on Earth and Wood. I shall try to move some Earth and Wood points to Metal without going into Agility C.

Cheers.

There is a low metal spell that let you throw a projectile that spread into multiple poison bogs. These bogs block all lightning wave as long as you stay in the middle of it.

Not perfect but better than nothing.

Btw, if a weapon scales C- Wood, B Earth and E- Metal, if I put majority of points to Earth and mid Metal and low Wood, will this make much different if I put high Earth, mid Wood and low Metal?

Edit: In Nioh 2, you can use Shurikens to bring down the flying boss who uses rifles - guess no such option in WL ;P

Not much i believe. I have read somewhere that there is a soft cap at 30. It seems like the game wants you to spread your stats.

My weapons usually have Wood and Water scaling so i invest in both of them evenly like 40-40 or 50-50 while putting the rest in the Fire, Earth, and Metal for some spells.
