I've literally seen multiple people post saying their fps went from 54-56 to stable 60 after the fix.
why must you be like this.
Most likely its probalance feature.
It sees an app causing issues, it changes it affinity and such 👍
yoo nice find!
i just recently enabled ecores again because i gave up. someone still always crashed in our group and it ruins coop since you need to start over the level. good thing this game was on gamepass :\
ive linked your post in mine for ppl googling it.
This is not universal fix. I have tested the game with efficiency cores both enabled and disabled, nothing noticeable changes. The game felt the same jittery mess in either setup. What I could definitely could feel is my computer trying to heat my room to sauna temperatures--heat generation when efficiency cores were disabled was very noticeable even without checking temp monitors.
Yee I'd agree, not a universal fix
Some people issues lay elsewhere I guess,
But alot of people seem to be having positive results doing this, so I'll take it 😂
It may not help all, but seems to be helping alot so far 👍
The games are typically at fault here too, not the users build (if it overmatches min spec)
It got rid of the stuttering on this old Athlon X4 860 K.
That did it for me. Thanks.
Ye 12th and 13th Gen use P-cores and E-cores.
As far as I aware, it's a issues caused by the CPU using or, constantly cycling between p-cores and E-cores
It causes a noticable hitch every second or so,
Basically, it's not a normal "fps drops"
But actually a frametime spike.
This seems to stop the communication between the game and the E-cores,
11th gen not having E-cores, I'd generally guess it wouldn't help (if you're experiencing the hitch and not merely fps drops)
Nah, if you just leave everything else within lasso default,
and disabled the 'windows dynamic thread priority boost' option on the wo long exe,
Your ecores will still be on and working as intended, it will just stop the wo long.exe from boosting off them cores,
It helped on the Athlon 860k, there was a frame spike/drop on nearly a 5 second interval. Using the measure recommended, it has vanished and I can achieve a constant 30 frames on the Athlon. Are you sure it's P and E core related if non-P,E core cpus net the same improvement from Windows Dynamic Boost?
Similar issues were from FS2020 https://www.reddit.com/r/flightsim/comments/ifle4x/huge_performance_booststutter_reduction_by/ With 4th generation i5 cpu.
Not entirly sure tbh my friend,
I just see some odd behaviour on the e-cores when running wo long, that i dont see on any other game,
typically when playing anything else, the p-cores are the most active, with like 5% on each e-core (doing discord and background stuff i guess)
but with wo long, theres activity all across the cores in lasso, and like 30%+ on the e-cores,
and disabling the thread booster instantly drops the ecore activity.
Im just guessing at this point. but seems like alot of 12th and 13th gen are effected, and them being hybrid cpu's cant only surmise it was maybe the cause
