Wizardry - Elemental Spells
Is there a way to increase the elemental build up faster? I have been trying it with lightning but its slow to build up.

Straight up best way to apply build up of a single element is to have a high investment in the element you wish to use. Like 300+ [insert element] Attack Power while buffed with one of the following Wizardry: Lightning Weapon/Flame Weapon/Stone Weapon/Toxin Weapon/Ice Weapon. For Fire you can also use Drought Demon Blade's martial art Shimmering Sun or Sky-Piercing Halberd's martial art Prancing Dragon, both require positive Spirit.

Then just mash attack.
Alternatively there are some martial arts that apply status really well compared to other Martial Arts, or even compared to normal attack spam, and can even do insane damage while buffed with an elemental Wizardry like the martial art Meteor Shower.

If you really need to then you can also add Enemy Status Effect Accumulation +% and [element] Accumulation on Enemies +% to really give a nice boost to your build up.

If you don't want to use the weapon Wizardry buffs you can use Divine Beast Resonation. Divine Beast gauge can even be built up super fast with the Wood Wizardry, Inner Breath which stacks multiplicatively with the Divine Beast Gauge Gain +% embedments (especially when you get hit or do perform a Fatal Strike).

You can also for example increase Lightning build up and damage of Lightning by 30% if you have already inflicted the Earth debuff. Though going for more than 1 element tends to not really be worth it (outside of Metal based debuff builds that can have element debuffs stick on forever). Especially when many targets and bosses are immune or have super high resistance to 1 or more elements. Which is another thing, some bosses like Dong Zhuo and Sun Jian's demon form are just straight up resistant to Lightning and Metal, but weak to Fire. So sometimes you can just forget about using certain debuffs or Metal debuff builds.

Weapon enchant embedment's work too but honestly are straight up damn horrible in both damage and status build-up when compared to using Wizardry weapon buffs.

There's a metal spell that increases status accumulation, if you really want to keep hammering them with ailments. Certain spells are definitely better at afflicting their status then others. For example the I believe the Heaven's Rage or whatever (bunch of lightning bolts in a area) is good for both damage and accumulation, especially so if you are fighting a big enemy. The spell that puts a tree down then you use again to blast the area also does a bit more. Though its not the most intuitive. If you want a simple reliable one, then the easiest answer is just the weapon buff spell. Something to consider is that enemies have different elemental resistances, too.
