Staff might just be the best weapon in this game.

No animation locking combos.
Great martial arts
Very fast and evasive spirit attack.
Great weapon swap ability.

I dunno, outside of curved blade, I just can't seem to find anything I like better than staff lol. Just so versatile AND you can get the monkey king hit/dodge and sit ontop of your staff. That right there is a win on its own.

hmmm i dont know about that really but its just prefrence really i love helberds and glaives the most for sure the art on glaives are pretty sweet as hell and deal alot of damage while not being to slow and i never switch my weapons alot really but i can say by FAR the glaive is a real great weapon too i think its better then Helberds at the moment

Yeah it's my favorite weapon as well. Dual swords is a close second place

for me i want to see some kind of a two handed sword fighting style will be nice if they added it one day maybe but unarmed will be nice as well

The staff that drop from the boss before Lu Bu,haven't change it since I got it,attack fast and the special skill build up the enemy break bar super fast.

As a sort of spellsword I like the final sword for the unique MA being basically Homing Crystal Soulmass. Otherwise Spear/Slashing Spear all the way.

Lobos is playing the game with Ursine Mace and demolishing enemies, seems like OP weapon for Wood/Earth builds.

All of the fast weapons seems pretty interchangeable to me to be honest. They have just about the same DPS, though staff leans a bit more into spirit damage than HP damage. But it all evens out in the end.

The only standout I found is slashing spear which has the speed of spear on the first three stabs but the damage of a glaive/halberd.

i like the staff, spear (stabbing mainly but slashing is good too), glaive, and dual swords. honestly like bit of most except the hammers as long as you get good martial arts rolled onto them. been using a slashing spear and dual swords for around 30 hrs since it has the best combination of martial arts that i could find so never bother switching.
