Connecting with someone from afar can make the connection lag a lot too.
The 60/30 fps is bull imo.
We were playing online (but PC close to each other in same house), we had these insane lags. I was in 120 FPS. She was in 60. Unplayable. I switched to 60 FPS. No more problem.
So I think there is still something related to FPS, yeah.
I don't know if both have to be in 60 FPS, or both have to be in the same (maybe 120 both could also work).
OK so maybe the fps is for something...
...but I just want to add another thing: when Nioh 2 came out on PC, been a year on console since and I remember vividly every bugs and crashes and stuttering and multiplayer issues that the game had. You couldn't even change the graphic settings other than putting a performance or quality profile! Now they can even support ultra wide screen naively which is a thing, and at 120 fps too, no BS.
What I am saying is that Team Ninja got a hell of a support team for their games. They are proud of what they release. I've seen games in much worst state than Wo Lang. I have fate that TN will fixes the issues. For example, Nioh 2 got a patch last December and it was released on march 2020 on console and in February 2021 on PC (3 years old game and still getting official fixes).
