How are you actually supposed to kill lu bu?

Every attempt lasts an eternity man I swear, you parry all his attacks and his critical attacks 4 times then he just jumps on his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horse and resets his bar.

I deflected his attacks and countered with a single strong attack with a sword. took a few tries.

You just have to memorize his move set, no other way around it. And try to get as many spirit attacks in as you can.

Also, unless they're on fire, you can guard his arrows without taking damage if you're not good at parrying them.

There is nothing to read there.

If you mean that you want a way to cancel his horse regen phase, you can't. If you don't get at least one critical in before he jumps on his horse again then you're doing something extremely wrong and definitely not parrying all of his attacks.

And like I said, spirit attacks are very important to stagger him quickly.

Use the cheapest Icicle water spell to neutralize his weapon fire buff.

And you just have to brawl with him for a while to beat the fight. You'll knock him off the horse twice before the fight ends.With the exception of one combo, all of his attacks are generous enough in their parry timings.

Thats the answer, really.

I fought Lu Bu for 5 hour straight trying a pure Wizard gameplay and was having a hard time breaking his spirit , then i give up the magic and just went 'parry+strong attack' . Got him first time this way

That's the secret for this fight , a single strong attack after parrying .

For his fire buff, shoot him with a water spell to cancel it .

It's an annoying dps (spirit break) check, where I used spirit vulnerability and metal debuffs + helm wizardry debuffs to weaken him and make him more manageable for faster burns before he remounts otherwise he's easier to dps mounted but it's just gonna be a way longer fight with no spirit break fatals.

I did struggle against him a lot. Most deaths I took in any boss fight so far, and it's only right that it was Lu Bu of all people to do so. Even though fire destroys metal, I did have some water spells that came in handy and I got those debuffs stacked on him which did destroy him. That divine beast resonance makes a huge impact in a boss fight even if it's in a disadvantage.

Use the defence up wizardry and attack down wizardry. The level 1 water wizardry neutralises his fire buff. Do not try to really engage in attacking him. Practice deflecting only, you can deflect his arrows too. Just reduce his spirit and increase yours with deflects while keeping up the buff and debuff. Then hit him with a strong spirit strike when your spirit is high to damage his spirit. Dealing a fatal strike while your spirit is high will also deal more damage. Don't be afraid to try and block instead of deflecting as some of his combos can be hard to deflect.

go make out ur morale if you're having trouble. Makes a huge difference, he can still pwn you but at least you wont get one shotted.

Literally just deflect everything especially the critical strikes and use your spirit attack once the bar is full.

I leveled up my weapon and he dies before he can get back onto his horse. Not much to the fight besides from parrying or blocking his hits.
