But yeah, the system as it is right now seems a bit half-baked. I hope this get's addressed in a patch down the line because small annoyances like this seriously add up over time.
I expect them to make a few stability patches and that's it. I wouldn't count on anything beyond fixing crashes and MAYBE a mouse fix. It's clear they'd already moved on from this game before it launched or we'd have these features already.
Also, I they improved quite a few things for Nioh 2 during its lifecycle: balancing, QoL features, performance improvements.
Heck, they even put out a remastered version for the PS5.
But I agree that things do not really look all that great right now. I just don't think it'll stay that way. And I genuinely mean that: I do not just hope, but rather I think it will improve.
I trust the developers, not the publisher. And if the publisher wants to put out more DLCs, they will continue to finance the studio which in turn will take a part of the time to improve the game. Not doing so would both break with what Team Ninja did before and it would make no sense, especially on a business level.
If they grind out the DLCs on a mixed rating (or worse) on Steam they would willfully jeopardize their bottom line.
