So... I just finished the game.

Took around 25 hours total, extremely disappointing - it doesn't even have that fun 'lets make a build' vibe that Nioh 2 had for post-game...

~10% of PC players finished the game in 2 days.. so it wasn't just me blasting through this crap, eh, the price tag should be cut in half, even if we look past all those PC exclusive issues the port has, this game is not worth $70.

If you want something similar - just get Nioh 2 which is on sale quite often too.. it's superior to this game in every aspect.

Not really, explored what I cared to explore - skipped most of 'small flags' though.. it's just short. I also didn't really bother with sub-missions as they are kinda useless anyway.

Dude, if you skip most of the side missions in Nioh 1/2, you get through those very quickly as well.

Also, did you play NIoh 1/2 when they initially released or did you play the complete editions with all the DLC?

I'm nearing the final main missions, I kind of agree unless this game is part of your total vibe, waiting on a sale might be worth it. DLC could change that, but we'll have to see. I thought its been thoroughly enjoyable however.

You could also go back and play co-op and help people out. I always loved doing that in souslike games when I finished it, its fun!

I didn't skip half the content, just because I didn't bother to reach a flag that's behind a wall and would require me to backtrack half the map to click a button - I finished entire main storyline, and I skipped sub-missions that bring almost nothing to the story; like finding an imperial seal and having a guy told you "thanks, imma take it".. like bruh.

I'm not crying about how short the game is - because quite frankly I got tired of it mid-way through. I'm crying because I spent $70 on it, when I could've just gotten drunk with friends on saturday.

most game nowadays are 30-40 hours ( mainstory )
submissions give you a additionial 5-10 hours .

there are 3 dlc's planned for june - sept - dec

having that said the game doenst end there you can also go into hard mode and get your 5* star gear which is more grindable.

tbh nioh and nioh 2 the first play through is always just teaching you the game for the other difficulties

but the side missions are as much the game's content as the side areas in a Souls game or in Elden Ring or Skyrim. just focusing on the main story quests and ignoring all side content cause you don't wanna do it will lead to a shorter gaming experience. you did blast thru the game, probably along with a bunch of other people who ignored all the side content.

Yeah, same here. All missions (Main/Sub) + Only missed two flags: 25 Hours.
Chapter 6 was depressingly easy. One shot every single boss in there.
