See how you're saying Gascoigne was really easy? Go look at many of the reactions to him when Bloodborne first released, on threads much like this one. People complaining about how Gascoigne was too hard for the first necessary boss to progress the game. Yet, you just called Gascoigne easy and went so far as to call the entirety of Bloodborne easy. Should Bloodborne have been made even easier to cater to all the people that aren't as skilled as you? What challenge would there be for you then and would you even enjoy it? I can certainly say as someone that enjoys the combat in souls games and being punished for my mistakes, Bloodborne wouldn't be as fun for me if it were easier and Wo Long would also be less fun if it were easier.
Also, its ok if the game just isint for you. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm ten hours in and am on Lu Bu (on horseback). I thought the first boss was hard as nails and the game has been fairly easy since then. I don't really agree with the attitude that if you struggle with the first boss then the game isn't for you. And to be honest, a boss that hard with two phases requiring polar opposite approaches isn't really the easiest challenge to overcome that early in the game.
I wonder if he's the type to smash his controllers too.
edit: lol he said he was out but look, he gave me a jester. means he's still reading XD
1st boss teaches you to parry. After that the rest of the game dosnt feel hard at all. Also, if someone is telling others to not buy a game because they cant beat the 1st boss... that means the game wasnt for them.
I died a lot from that boss because I would get hit at every failed deflect on normal attacks. then I just thought "would the deflect work while blocking?" and guess what, it does. got him at the 2nd try after that (in the first I died to his 2nd phase as I only got there once, before).
I agree with this. would solve alot of this.
After what I think might have been my twentieth attempt I barely beat the boss (a sliver of health left and no heals) only to realise in horror that he had a second phase. I then subsequently got steamrolled. I remember saying to the wife afterwards "maybe this just isn't for me". I had him beat in the end out of sheer spite. And it would have been a shame if I sacked it off because despite how shoddy the PC port is, I really am enjoying the game now. OP might be disgruntled with the game but in all honesty, I kind of agree that it starts the game off in a bad light. As others have said, maybe some more obvious tutorialising would help (I had to watch a FightingCowboy video to figure out where I was going wrong). Sometimes it just needs to click and I think if OP was able to get past that first boss, they would quite possibly have a good time. Not that I'm invested in how people spend their time, it's not my business.
