DO NOT buy this game.
This game will throw a BOSS at you that will destroy you. Right at the start. Every time you will die , because the tutorial says you nothing.

Don't buy this piece of ♥♥♥♥.

The key item to open the gate to Gassy only appears in the shop after beating cleric beast. The path through the cathedral that lets you by pass the gate only opens after beating BSB.
your miss remembering. Your first option is between fighting Cleric Beast or Father Gassy. Father Gassy is blocking your progression too Blood Starved.
I don't think I am, but I can just reinstall the game and check.

In Bloodborne, Gascoigne is the first boss you have to beat to progress and he's a significant challenge for most players. You can summon at that point in the game but the resource required for summoning help (insight) is incredibly sparse at that point and requires you to also buy the summoning bell with it. So you can summon help for 1 or 2 attempts at Gascoigne but if you fail those you're forced to solo him afterwards.

Gascoigne plays the same role in Bloodborne as the first boss in Wo Long, they force you to learn the mechanics of the game to progress.
That boss was easy as ♥♥♥♥...

And you can get a music box to stun him for a while.

BB was easy, the DLC was a bit harder but doable from my point of view.

See how you're saying Gascoigne was really easy? Go look at many of the reactions to him when Bloodborne first released, on threads much like this one. People complaining about how Gascoigne was too hard for the first necessary boss to progress the game. Yet, you just called Gascoigne easy and went so far as to call the entirety of Bloodborne easy. Should Bloodborne have been made even easier to cater to all the people that aren't as skilled as you? What challenge would there be for you then and would you even enjoy it? I can certainly say as someone that enjoys the combat in souls games and being punished for my mistakes, Bloodborne wouldn't be as fun for me if it were easier and Wo Long would also be less fun if it were easier.

This situation could easily be resolved without nerfing the boss. Just let players summon for the first boss fight that way the people who want an easier fight can have it and those who want things to stay the same can also have their challenge.

Yeah, seems like you were right. I was thinking of Vicar Amelia.

People actually think the 1st boss is too hard? Once you get use to parrying its a walk in the park. Maybe the game just isint for you? If you can't get past him then you will struggle with the rest of the game.

Also, its ok if the game just isint for you. Nothing wrong with that.

Lu Bu and Yu Ji are both easier than the first boss.

I'm ten hours in and am on Lu Bu (on horseback). I thought the first boss was hard as nails and the game has been fairly easy since then. I don't really agree with the attitude that if you struggle with the first boss then the game isn't for you. And to be honest, a boss that hard with two phases requiring polar opposite approaches isn't really the easiest challenge to overcome that early in the game.

guy thinks he's the only souls vEtErAn out there. and then he can't beat the first boss of a game without losing his temper.
I wonder if he's the type to smash his controllers too.

edit: lol he said he was out but look, he gave me a jester. means he's still reading XD

1st boss teaches you to parry. After that the rest of the game dosnt feel hard at all. Also, if someone is telling others to not buy a game because they cant beat the 1st boss... that means the game wasnt for them.

btw do you know what the devs could do to immediately stop 99% of people from calling the first boss too strong? they could simply explicitly say that you can deflect while blocking.
I died a lot from that boss because I would get hit at every failed deflect on normal attacks. then I just thought "would the deflect work while blocking?" and guess what, it does. got him at the 2nd try after that (in the first I died to his 2nd phase as I only got there once, before).

Team NINJA always bad in writing GUIDES and more guides for newbie. Explain a lot but somehow doesn't seem to aim at the right matter. Even with the arrow and range weapon where you furiously spending a lot of money to buy and reload because the store house function is inside the blacksmith lady not the flag. LMAO

I mean i'd give you a jester too if i didn't have a policy against giving away free steam points too obvious clown bait so you can't be 100% sure it's OP.

After what I think might have been my twentieth attempt I barely beat the boss (a sliver of health left and no heals) only to realise in horror that he had a second phase. I then subsequently got steamrolled. I remember saying to the wife afterwards "maybe this just isn't for me". I had him beat in the end out of sheer spite. And it would have been a shame if I sacked it off because despite how shoddy the PC port is, I really am enjoying the game now. OP might be disgruntled with the game but in all honesty, I kind of agree that it starts the game off in a bad light. As others have said, maybe some more obvious tutorialising would help (I had to watch a FightingCowboy video to figure out where I was going wrong). Sometimes it just needs to click and I think if OP was able to get past that first boss, they would quite possibly have a good time. Not that I'm invested in how people spend their time, it's not my business.
