how do i install Vp9 codec manually

So, as I experienced the same "black screen with mumming" problem on the thread 'bug reporting'.
It's great we have a 'vp9' solution seemed working for most players just on the first page.


But as its not uncommon for win10 users like me disabling the Annoying windows auto- update function in different kinds of methods, which, in my case, leaded to a failure on running almost every single official Microsoft Store appx.
to fix this I need to undone all the previous procedure for disabling the update function, which is not likely to happen cuz it happened a hell of long time ago,and i can't remember how i disabled da function.

Now I just wondering if there is a way to just manually install the stupiiiid Vp9 package through loose file which i just unpacked from the appx by changing the extension name as 'zip'.

Well, I just updated my k-lite mega codec pack after updating vp9 from the Microsoft Store didn't do anything for me. Seems like I can watch the opening cinematic now. It took browsing this forum to fix the game. Neat.

Thanks for replying. It seems i disabled the microsoft installer to prevent the auto update some time a go, which caused a failure in installing any micosoft app.
Now it was fixed, and i diabled it again after installing the vp9.
btw the mega codec player was great！
