He was almost impossible to pressure while on the ground since he was constantly attacking, making the entire fight nothing more than parry->poke and wait for a big red move parry->spirit attack or punish his ranged attack usage. Yeah I probably just described every boss fight in the game, but Lu Bu was straight up pure parryfest, and I hate that ♥♥♥♥.

Realize the best way to beat him is to stick to him like a glue. Because this is how you bait him to do those high leaps in the air which is WAY easier to parry. You see someone coming at you from the air, is way more telegraphed and easy to time your parry.
The one which he does a horse charge or drags his halberd on the ground and tries to grab you has a more tricky parry window.
Also some people don't realize and start spamming deflect too early when the boss wind up their red critical attack the timing is always right before you a red flash.
