first lu bu fight is amazing!
i died to him like 20 times but by the last attempt i knew every move only had to heal once and pretty much perfected him. i got the same satisfaction as i got fighting genichiro in sekiro i first thought that he was next to impossible but by the end of that fight i learned every move and parry and didnt even get hit by him. i hope there are more bosses like that in this game!

Agreed, that fight is sick. I haven't beat the game yet but there are some cool bosses after Lu Bu.

I didn't enjoy the fight, personally. The parry timing on his most dangerous attacks seemed completely random, and parrying him when his spear was on fire was also extremely difficult to time (for some reason). I just don't understand why the timing would be different compared to anything else swinging a long reach weapon at you, and I don't understand why parrying as the attack is about to connect only works sometimes.

He was almost impossible to pressure while on the ground since he was constantly attacking, making the entire fight nothing more than parry->poke and wait for a big red move parry->spirit attack or punish his ranged attack usage. Yeah I probably just described every boss fight in the game, but Lu Bu was straight up pure parryfest, and I hate that ♥♥♥♥.

yeah i know exactly what your talking about i didnt figure it out till my tenth try but when he slowly charges you with that grab attack he doesnt attack you right away he delays his impale and you have to wait 1 sec before parrying that move also for that fight i recommend long weapons as the parryy timer is a few frames longer i initially used my dual sabers but it was rather difficult getting the timing right as the parry window for them is reallly tight

Yeah go figure that I had a pretty handle on the parrying mechanic then Lu Bu shows up. I feel his fight lasted longer than it should have. Felt he was too spongy, first time around.

lu bu in coop is way chunkier and its a roll of the dice whether the host will have a good connection, basically when the host has good internet it goes pretty smooth with bad it is a nightmare lol also a lot people who dont care to learn the bosses 50% of the time just die instantly spamming parry lmao i feel like thats why so many ppl cant get past the first freaking level muahaha

I finally beat him after countless tries.

Even went back to 100% every mission before going back to Lubu.

Realize the best way to beat him is to stick to him like a glue. Because this is how you bait him to do those high leaps in the air which is WAY easier to parry. You see someone coming at you from the air, is way more telegraphed and easy to time your parry.

The one which he does a horse charge or drags his halberd on the ground and tries to grab you has a more tricky parry window.

Also some people don't realize and start spamming deflect too early when the boss wind up their red critical attack the timing is always right before you a red flash.
