Screen flashing and constant slow downs on the capital level
I have a RTX 3070 Ti with Ryzen 7 5700G with most recent drivers.

I just got to the capital sewer part and my screen flashes white every 3 seconds and looking in a certain direction makes the game run at maybe 30% speed while dropping inputs.

Anyone find a fix for these?

I'm playing the gamepass version because I didnt want to pay 70 euro for this game.

Yeah I have a white flash thing on max settings but when I change to FPS preferred it goes away.

I tried that to fix the slow downs, they both remain even on prioritize fps mode. Changing all settings to low didnt fix it either

Disable Ambient Occlusion - that should fix the white flashes.

game speed is equal to your frame rate percentage-wise when compared to your frame rate cap.
for example having a frame rate cap of 120 and having 60 fps would mean that your game runs at 50% speed.

flickering is caused by ssao. note tho that the settings don't save and thus you need to turn it off every single time you launch the game.

I would get that, but the game still slows down hard when I put all my settings to lowest and enable prioritize fps while also capping to 60fps,

mb you're going below 60 then?
you can enable an fps counter in steam overlay to monitor your perfomance.

Tysm! It got rid of them and the game still looks good.

Like I said, I'm playing on gamepass and microsoft absolutely hates overlays, I cant even get geforce experience framerate overlay to work with it. I have no clue what framerate the game is running at

missed that bit, sorry.
is there a 30 cap? try that and see if slow downs dissapper? if yes then you were running sub 60.

Ok yeah you were right, it's better at lower frame caps. 30 is far too slow for me and I dont really like that I have to play at 60 either. Kind of annoying how bad this engine is.
