I think there will be some fanbase from DW, because romance of three kingdom is an interesting writing. I've enjoyed DW and ROTK, though didn't like much where both series did go. On the other hand I've enjoyed Nioh pretty much.
I'm looking forward, if possible, to seeing this one's Nobunaga, myself. Now, there's an immortal man that sure seems to have many iterations in several kinds of games. Samurai Maiden's being the most recent imagining.
and in Dw9 ive discovered that i been saying everyone's name wrong
unless our character is part of shu then we will be lucky to see other officers from the other dynasty's at least in side quests if we arent killing them

Took them until DW7 to pronounce things correct, but I didn't care. It was always fun and neat.
I'm excited to see their takes. That was one of the cool parts of Nioh, which figures from that era (aka Samurai Warriors) would make an appearance. I made a thread about this before the demo launched but no one was interested then.
This is the first iteration where Lu Bu's archery skill is on display too.
