You're judging a parry based combat system as bad because its not a stance based one. You're also judging its quality from the first mission, before its gets the chance to be fleshed out. If I were you, I'd hold off buying the game until people get reasonably far and see what its like when they have unlocked more abilities.
That being said it's still a disappointment because of how trash the performance and camera is.
Hopefully they get fixed eventually
