I share this opinion.
I had a really hard time in the beginning adjust to the steering in this game.
But i'm slowly starting to get the hang of it.
I played MotoGP 20 before this and the steering in that game might be a bit less realistic compared to this one but it's alot smoother and easier.
Also spend the time to optimize your controller configs - just setting max front brake at say 95% eliminated almost all of my stoppies - and is an simple/easy adjustment to start with. I picked up a new PS5 controller to replace my old PS4 one and it helped a fair bit too.
Personally Ill probably get Ride 4, and RiMS. Just to see what they are like... as I will have gotten a controller might as well get some use out of it.
Hope my game play improves with a controller caues I am $h|t with the keyboard.
As a real rider, I love the realism. They nailed the simulation imho. A full weekend against the AI at 105% demands every tweek possible to let the bike fine-tuned for Qualifying and Race. Plus the electronics management adds a layer of strategy so interesting that a 21 laps race doesn't end up boring.
Fuel and tires demanding attention and care makes me sweat in the later half of the races ahaha.
I love this game. The AI needs some work tho.
The AI have some problems, but I'm learning to defend my position as well (helmet view).
I was playing against 120% AI and it was a nightmare how aggressive they were, sometimes even ignoring my presence and completely disrespecting my line. So I reduced to 105% and it seems more "manageable", with the AI at least trying to respect my lines.
At the same time I noted how sometimes I indeed leave a door opened and if we watch a real race, you can see how hard is for the rider in front defend his position. It is hard to the point of slow him down a good second.
