Leaning forward = slower on a straight
Saw a friend playing the game and as he leans forward on a straight you get slower not faster...... whats wrong here?

Simlly you don't have to lean forward. On the straight you have to stay normal

My understanding is that this game has auto-"tuck in", so you don't need to do anything down the straights.

Leaning forward should take weight off the rear wheel, reducing traction; It may also disable the tuck in so that it actually increases drag.

Leaning forward might be useful out of a corner to stop wheelies, but I personally don't bother with it.

I actually have lean forward and lean backward completely unmapped from my controller because I find it too easy to accidentally lean forward/backward when turning with the default controls (which can upset the balance of the bike); This probably isn't optimal if you want to get the top times, but it's too much hassle for too little gain for me.

the manually leaning is yust for " show",for example if you want do
a wheelie or stoppie or a burnout.
in race u dont need it, the driver lean automatically

Leaning forward is supposed to prevent wheelies, but it also removes weight from the rear wheel, so you wheel spin instead.
Don't use it, it's of no use.

leaning forward does not even seem to prevent wheelies or even kind of counteract them at all at least i dont notice any difference in moto 3 from stand 1st gear full throttle to leaning forward and doing the same.

If you test it out in extreme conditions its clearer to see. 2 strokes are the extreme particularly when it comes to wheelies. Leaning forward won't prevent wheelies on its own, you still have to use other methods.
Softening the rear suspension, extending the wheelbase and leaning slightly all help. But I've found its more important to get as much traction as possible, leaning forward reduces traction. That's why I don't use it.

yeah i tried to climb the ladder in moto 3 spielberg and have so much trouble currently iam 28th but that 3rd corner when i have the Top poisiton ghost enabled this guys seem to have no trouble getting out of it without wheelie and still turn in like a maniac.... pretty sure this is a setup thing and probably one or two other tricks as he brakes extremely late and shifts down very very fast i have no clue how this guy race like this after 100 rounds i gave up in trying to get a better pace. 1:37:266 still 3 seconds lower than first lol
