1st time ever in Moto2, plz help. xD
Despite MotoGP 21 is so frustrating with some things it is the best one made, so I decided to start from Moto3, then Moto2 then MotoGP.

In my 1st Moto3 season I was 6th on 120% difficulty, I guess that's descent.

Now I'm in Moto2 and I crashed in my 1st corner in Qatar lol! :D

Why is throttle so weird in corners? One aggressive acceleration and boom highside! :D This category even have TCS?

Any tips for Setup to reduce rear sliding? This feels like completely new game, like I have to start learning to ride from scratch.

Thanks!

Exactly same experience here. Moto 3 is great fun (except I am only on 69% ! ) , but Moto2 has to be learnt all over again, and it's frustrating.
AND I have to reduce difficulty by 20% to match my performance in Moto3. (I've reported thtis to Milestone).
Lower revs, smoother riding, works, and now I am matching AI, at least until i reached a wet Kymiring where I could not keep the bike on the track, and ended up retiring. What a relief to get past it, I wish Devs would check it out and improve the grip there (I've reported that as well).

Idk it's weird but maybe it's meant to be like this? Is Moto2 like that in real life? Because traction control in MotoGP is perfect, both IRL and in game but Moto2 in game is too tricky. Just one aggressive acceleration is enough to get you launched off the bike. I need to be so gentle on throttle, basically I am slowing myself down because I need to very slowly apply throttle. The moment I decide to ride aggressive I crash somewhere on track. :D

Again those casual racers... Moto2 is OK. There is not TCS in real life Moto2...

Those tcs in moto2 will only appear if you are in assisted electronics. Turn that off and it will be gone.

I am not casual/arcade racer, I am simulation racer. I play every single session, I never use quick lap entry, I have bike pick-up enabled, all assistances are on off. I am disgusted by any assistances in MotoGP/F1 games.

As said in one reply here, maybe it's meant to be like this so I am not pissed by this or angry etc.

The only thing which confused me is TCS option in HUD despite all my racing options are on PRO. If I'm not mistaking previous MotoGP games didn't had TCS in HUD in Moto2.

I am not on Assisted electronics, all is on Simulation/PRO. But I still see TCS option in HUD, that's normal? That part confused me, I guess TCS levels 1/2/3/4/5 are doing nothing? Which is expected as I've understood.

I am not a casual racer - I play every session, full distance or 75% races, and I am entitled to my opinion. In my opinion Moto2 IS more tricky to get used to than Moto3, and there is definitely less grip at Kymiring in the wet.

just checked it right now. If you are seeing that TCS in moto2 you are indeed with assisted electronics. Under riding aides>electronics switch it to real.

Then it's OK. Moto2 is really more tricky. I just saw on facebook people's posts, who use auto-braking help, and complain about how difficult game is...

Moto2 doesn't have TCS but you'll be hard pressed to find anyone racing without it.

Good tip is change the trigger curves of your controller through stream. Instead of linear make it into a big curve, gives you more control on the initial input.

Other than that just start to enjoy sliding.

Yes that's exactly what I did, I modified Right trigger curve, more responsive now. Thanks for the tip! No way I am enabling any assistances, gonna race on Real electronics. Still getting used to it, it is tricky but cool. Except wet races, absolutely awful. I mean the chance of wet races, Milestone f... it up badly....

Welcome mate. Actually...wet races are the best ! When you get used to sliding around. It doesn't matter about real or not real it's just more fun. The wet seems to be the only place in the game left where not using TC is not a massive disadvantage...in fact it's an advantage. If the gearing suits then you can change up early on the exit and hold one big slide all the way to the next turn...who cares if its slower :D Otherwise it seems those using the TC have a much better time of things but....they get no style points for busting shapes on track.

Biggest thing that helped me go from hardly putting a single lap together to comfortably winning the championship at 120% was joint brakes. IMO the rear brake is critical on the Moto2 bike (whereas you don't even need to use it on Moto3) however 100% rear brake like an on/off switch isn't ideal either. With joint brakes it automatically modulates the rear brake around 20 to 50%, and helps reduce stoppies as well.
