Attempted to fix problem with save prompt every time i launched the game, after following the guide Located in troubleshooting to "delete remote Folder" located in "1446780" i now cant access my 95 hour save. i cant use the file what so ever. i was able to launch and get into the game previously on the newest patch but after the "fix" i cant. I do have a full backup of my save folder on my desktop before doing the fix, but putting it back in the mother folder is not fixing the problem.

I do want to reiterate, the save was working on the newest patch *before* the troubleshooting. *after* attempting to put my file back in i am getting the error. seemingly like any attempt to put a save into the files instantly corrupt it.

what Thread should i be looking at? i have never really used discussions tab myself, i really just don't want to loose all my progress.

Well, which guide did you use? No use if its the same one, right?

What issue do you originally had? That guide is only for those who could not play at all. For everyone else it could kill your save game.

yeah that one, but wonderful. i was getting an error every time i loaded the game up about saves but it was playable. i *thought* that was my problem so i tried the advertised fix.

why would this make my save from before corrupt though? if i made a backup shouldn't i be able to drop it in even if i lost my saves and progress? what was the point to the backup?

Well, you use the backup you have. That is the idea about it.

Nonetheless a good question, why you need to go through the many steps instead of just putting the files in place. I am assuming it has something to do with the DRM/Anti-tampering mechanisms of Denuva I am not fully understanding myself.

And if you want to help me out, when you get to the point to replace the new files with your old files - just replace the data001Slot.bin one and let me know of the result.

so. the stress i felt for a moment was extreme. i did what you said and deleted the remote folder again, created a new savegame, created a new save file, talked to the elder, the merchant, quit and saved. went to my desktop and moved over ONLY the data001slot.bin and it showed me the new game, not my 95 hour save. *panic* i thought maybe it over wrote my desktop file folder somehow, so i repeated the process and same result. Now i dont know why but after going back in the files i went for broke and dropped everything back into the remote folder from the backup to see if i at least still had the old character backup. thankfully it was still there, clicked continue and load........ and it works now. i mean i put everything in. data00-1.bin, data001slot.bin, SS1_data001slot through 008, SS1_data302slot through 308. i dont know. but i can say its working again. i dont know what exactly fixed it.

Yes. It is supposed to show your new game first. That is normal. That is why I wrote the steps as I did. Did you miss them perchance?
