Yes. I expect it strongly, that there will be a sequel to Monster Hunter: World. The financial success is too big not to attempt another go on that. And the graphics play a strong role for the target audience.
its kinda unfortunate that it was first PC MH game and now are PC players confused by change..
I would say, both of your statements is somewhat correct.
As a veteran who played older titles, it did not feel that much different to me - but if you look at certain details, it definitely has many things which "felt more goofy" missing. Sure, the Palico chefs are still somewhat cute and cool, but it is a great change from "all fondue" or "Chinese, almost racist looking Siam cat". The looks were also seemingly darker, due to how good the environment aka world is represented.
The big deal about that is simply the combo, of a lot of people started the game because it was the first title of the franchise appealing to them BECAUSE of the graphics, and at the same time you have a lot of players who put so much emphasis on how important graphics are, which is sure a modern phenomenon older players, who still know lukewarm pizza slices and coin stacks in the arcade, cannot relate to.
But why should people suffer because your hardware is bad?
World is still an absolutely amazing looking game, i hope mh6 will have amazing realistic graphics back
Im sick of downgrades, comic graphics and other bad stuff, its 2023, i want GOOD GRAPHICS
World looks good for graphical fidelity, but the colors being severely washed out, and a number of other things hamper it. Graphical fidelity is NOT the only thing that matters.
Games can have GOOD graphics and STILL be stylized. Look at ♥♥♥♥ like wind waker, super mario world. Both games look good because of style. Not everything has to be about "ma realism" Realism really isn't very appealing to a lot of us, we get enough of that from every other AAA studio, as well as real life.
That is a very good point.
Just thinking of games like
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in comparison to e.g. the first Tomb Raider, certain graphics styles for games sure have it easier to be enjoyed over and over again when it comes to graphics as a selling point.
Hopefully prices on GPUs will have plummeted by then because, what the ♥♥♥♥, they should not be that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ expensive.
