please i'm a new player and i've just reached mh8, i want to farm the valstrax armor but there is no way i can kill him alone

You are not ready for what you intend to do.
Your post clearly says it out loud: you are too green.
Try again once you reached HR100.

You are aware that taking the shortcut using event quests is not the smartest idea as event Valstrax is a lot stronger than regular Valstrax, right?

You shouldn't take that shortcut, if you do so you'll only sabotage yourself with that. You should just grind up to HR100 and learn the game properly.

oh i didn't know that, i am actually trying to get a decent build, and valstrax's armor does the cut. so ii just got to keep doing quests till i get his quest. is that it ?

Well its a solid armor indeed, but you can get other good sets without that armor. You should keep going with quests until you get his quest.

I was actually really surprised how hard the event valstrax is. Did it the first time after completing sunbreaks story and wow.. the dmg.. even with fully maxed MR armor. The fight feels like MR valstrax imho.

You surely aren't ready for this. That quest is a trap for new people. I'm buffled capcom didnt put it behind HR100.

The event Valstrax is really hard. He actually has an higher attack modifier than MR Valstrax, meaning he does more damage, probably because you get a rainbow bird but he's still insane.

I recently did AT Nergigante and this Valstraxx with HR gear back to back, Nergi died in 16 minutes while super Valstrax carted me for the 3rd time after 20 minutes of fighting. So yeah, he's even harder than AT Nerg for me.

For reference in case others get confused AT Nergigante is a Monster Hunter World encounter. Nergigante is not in Rise or Sunbreak (yet?).

don't bother much with HR valtrax armor that much unless u want the layered armor,if you have SB better off to SB and grind MR armor to save your time unless you still want to do so for fun then you should do it,HR armor usually won't get far in MR since the MR armor just too strong for HR armor
