Unrollable attacks at 30+ fps
Reminder that Capcom never cared or acknowledged the gamebreaking tracking at 30+FPS
proof https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aESEolfZAeM
Unconfirmed issues on top of that: everything monster does is faster - faster recovery from flinching/tripping, all attacks faster etc.

Something else to note about the monster's tracking with line/slam/leap attacks is the tracking is better on those attacks the farther away you are, so it's easier to avoid those attacks if you're up close, so you don't want to give these monsters too much distance. Even with pierce gunners, you want to skirt the front end of the sweet spot range at all times, even if you can take mid-long shots for full damage. Fights like Malzeno and Magnamalo, and even Valstrax, you don't want to give them too much space. MR Valstrax's beam attack is deadly, and it has super good tracking at long range, guaranteed oneshot for a gunner too, but If you're up close, you can just walk to the side to avoid it and it whiffs.

Not sure why someone felt the need to jester the OP.

This has been a known issue since shortly after the pc launch along with player attack timing changing based on framerate.

So you're saying with my uncapped 70+ FPS I beat an objectively harder game with zero fails? Woo!

the only way to avoid these attacks 100% is to do a dive.
It is incredibly frustrating and breaks already pretty bad game even more.

Evade Extender 2 my dude. It'll save your life. Honestly its basically mandatory lol

A lot of gunners do like evade extender, however, it's possible to avoid those attacks without it, you just gotta adjust your positioning to the monster. LBG also gets a counter move in MR which is pretty good. HBG's counters also work for a lot of those attacks, like Rajang's beam attack for example. MR mango does 2 tail stabs now, so a counter is probably a bad idea on that, but you don't want to give mango that kinda range to begin with, even on a gunner. Don't be in the range where those attacks are the most lethal.

Traditionally, most of a monster's worst attacks were in melee range, in this game that's not always the case, and a lot of monsters are now easier to deal with in close range vs long for reasons that have been stated. Just adjust your positioning to the fight.

This is actually... Good??

I mean, the game is pretty easy already and you only have two ways of increasing the difficulty: the bad way (HP sponges) and the good way (mechanic rework). This "bug" somehow achieves the latter unintendedly, bravo.

Yeah the OP has been farming jester points for awhile. I guess his wish has been granted since everyone has been giving them to him.

Yeah, why the hell would a Narga whiff the tail attack so spectularly on a hunter that's just running sideways? I would expect to have to roll that...Same goes for Rajang's laser and Magna's tail jab. Being able to casually charge a hammer while holding left stick sideways and dodge them just seems a bit lame.

The video also doesn't even showcase how little of an effect these changes actually have on gameplay, since nobody charging a hammer is going to be running wide circles around a monster. They'd close in for attacking immediately, which would make it far easier to position to the sides of all these monsters, preventing these attacks from landing or even coming out. I feel like if you put yourself at the perfect range for attacks like these (like in the video), you should be forced to roll or run away because it's just a bad move on the hunter's part.

Okay, except, he's right.

I personally found it really funny that the game is technically harder to play at higher refresh rates and gladly welcome the challenge.

I don't understand how broken game mechanics and developer's laziness are being justified by the "challenge".
It's not supposed to be this way, there are very few attacks in the whole franchise that can't be simply walked from.
Yes, older games have better tracking but tracking in Rise is beyond ridiculous BECAUSE devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and never fixed the issue.
