Yes, we completely lost the attack because it's not the same, we can't use to its full capacity when we want for more than one reason + you have to play until HR 6 to unlock it.
It's BS after BS.
People aren't only talking about the super attacks, they're also talking about the completely regular moves that you can swap out.
Example, Longsword, Overhead Slash or Drawn Double Slash,l which changes what your draw move is
If it fits the moveset there's a good chance the next mainline title adds it into the moveset proper instead of needing a gimmick.
Like how some of Hammer's Gen/GenU specials were added to its World moveset.
Or, going the other way, World (Iceborne) CB's chainsaw was pulled from the moveset into Rise's Switch gimmick.
QoL changes tend to make it through regardless of whether it's from mainline.
Gimmicks, probably forgetting a few:
(mainline) Tri/P3rd/3U - Medium Bowgun, Build-a-Bowgun, Underwater (was not in P3rd, will return when they get it feeling the way they want it), Slime/Blast
(mainline) 4/4U - CB, Glaive, Aerial Attacks, Mounting/Toppling, Wystones
(offshoot) Gen/GenU - hold-to-keep-gathering, playing as Palico, Styles, and whatever the activated-by-touchscreen specials are called
(mainline) World/Iceborne - Seamless Zones, Re-arm/Restock at Base Camp, Walk-by Gathering, too many moveset updates to list here, Mantles, Clutch Claw
(offshoot) Rise/Sunbreak - Palamute (replaced by doggo-bird-thing), Wirebugs, Monster Controlling, Switch Skills, Scroll Swap, Rampage (they didn't even like it enough for the expansion), Followers
If you can't even understand what we were saying, just stfu and type it in your language
Your answer is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. You literally want rigid, uncustomizable, boring ass movesets? That's the dumbest thing I've read today
I think the pile driver should be made a standard attack again but i still think that you should be able to change moves if you want to
there are good changes and bad changes, and I absolutely implied in that answer that there is a possibility of change weapons in the middle of the fight while actively fighting a monster just like you can switch scrolls in sunbreak

What actually the hell is the problem with versatility?
