My answer to you question is that GU started all this. The mechanic to activate the skill is slightly better but literally everything is better than time cooldown. It's not like ,,what if it was like GU" no, I don't want that either.
To me, at least so far (we need to see more of Wilds), there are 2 types of MH games. The next one after Wilds will, hopefully (because again I don't want Wilds to be that game) expand on Switch Skills. Probably way more than you can possibly imagine.
So what your saying is your want less options with your game and no innovation what so ever?
Then I guess you better take Wilds off your wish list and all future MH game's from here on out because MH has always been innovating and will continue to keep innovating this is straight up what MH has always done for over a decade now.
I'll say it again take Wilds off your wishlist and forget MH even exist because this is the route these game's are going just like they've been doing for a decade at this point.
Like your straight up wanting a game with less options and less content to keep you playing even if that content is 100% optional like WTF is wrong with you if you hate these game's that much go play the old game's because the last few game's in the last decade have clearly not been for you and the future game's clearly aren't for you either.
"Ultimate" moves are really personal preference, but GenU, like I was saying, did a better job...thats...thats literally all I was saying...
Switch skills, where you can swap moves, is what I would believe most would want.
If you're having trouble understanding, just continue playing World and the older games
I think you're the one who's having trouble understanding I don't like swapping moves and/or adding moves I can't organically use when I want at all. I thought I made myself very clear but hey, English isn't my native language so I might've messed up somewhere.
I know the pain because it's happened to my main weapon in Rise.
Thats waaaaaaaaay to many keys to click then.
Like, L2+X=Rise's "Double Slash" draw attack and then X=regular draw attacks.
Or L2+R2+X+Y=Lance's shield charge and R2+X+Y=Lance's regular charge attack...
Yeah, sounds too complicated, I'd prefer interchangeable
Imagine having to click all the keys just to do the ultimate moves of the weapons, like Helm Breaker for LS or TCS for GS or PR for SnS...
