I ran into Rajang when hunting 5-star monsters!

I was soloing a multiplayer mission to hunt 2 Volvidon.
At the start of the quest (in the desert map) I see a questionmark. I'm intrigued as it means it's a monster I hadn't encountered yet. So of course I go check it out.

Only to find a sleeping Rajang. I'm blown away by this. I've never fought Rajang before. I've heard horror stories about him. So I decide to take this opportunity to have him help in the quest. I aggro him and run to the Volvidon. They start a turf war.

Volvidon is no match for Rajang, but I use Volvidon in a Wyvern Riding state to injure Rajang to then hop onto Rajang and use him in a Wyvern Riding state to dish out massive damage.
Rajang runs away after the little scuttle.

This is the end of my little story. It was fun and unexpected. I got some materials from Rajang in the scuffle but I doubt I'll be able to make anything with it anytime soon.
Though I hope to fight Rajang for real soon.

With rajang, if you haven't already try using his s+right click attack. Fires of a death beam and is a nice way to deal thousands of damage in a short amount of time

Mhm. Pretty similar to my first encounter with Rajang. They look so cute in their sleep, that you wish you can strangle them while they are helpless, thinking of all the nightmares he is causing.

Yeah Rajang has a chance to appear in even 4 star HR hub quests on a random chance. If you are good enough to hunt them, you can obtain their gear which could be powerful for that stage.
But realistically speaking probably no one wants to do that.

Rajang is literally the worst invader ever, he spends the entire quest sleeping in some corner of the map. I've had times where he does ♥♥♥♥ all and then near the end of the quest he leaves and gets replaced by a Rathian lmao

Sounds like Rajang 90% of the time in the series.
