I really hate item scrolling, any help?

I literally can't stand how they made the mouse wheel scroll that useless bar of "actions" like gestures and whatnot instead of the actual items bar, like WHY? All the important actions in that bar already have a macro by default (eg: Enter=chat, F=ride Palamute, etc.), so it literally only gets in the way. On the other hand, when scrolling items, you have to press Ctrl+mouse wheel scroll, which gets super annoying, let alone it's weird (even for someone with a dozen thousand hours on Frontier that also used Ctrl for item scrolling).

Is there any way to just make the mouse wheel scroll items without needing to press Ctrl and just make the Ctrl+scroll for the action bar, basically swapping the two? It's bad enough I'm too used to how scrolling in World was where I could just go left/right with dedicated buttons...

near the Bottom of the Controls Menu there is a Mouse wheel 1 and mouse wheel 2 function. Mouse wheel 1 has Action bar as it's default, you can set it to the item bar if you want.

I use controller and I never used the action bar you are talking about lol. Don't know why Capcom didn't copy world's solution.

you can have Worlds D-pad Item bar in the Controls as well

Thanks for telling me this, must have missed the option! The default settings for some things are really stupid (eg: middle mouse for wirebug aim, which often accidentally also scrolls a bit or "forward" side mouse button for guard making it impossible to use Lance Counters on most Windows revisions, etc.). With this, I can finally play without scrambling around every time, so huge help!
