Xbox elite series 2 controller paddle mapping

I’d like to map two of my paddles to cycle through my items like the steam controller in MHW, but manually adding layers would sometimes use the item if i map one to LB+X. Anyone have a proper solution? With 4 paddles, i’d like to use two for item cycling and the other two for combo shortcuts

Change Item cycling to use the D-Pad instead in the settings instead of cycling with LB+B/X. Then you can set the paddles to the D-Pad directions accordingly.
