Hit effects way too bright.
Is there any setting in game to reduce the effects ?
Or any mod ? The hits are so bright and flashy.
Specially in multiplayer
It's absolutely clusterfaak in multiplayer with the addition of 4 palamutes attacking as well
Hard to see or anticipate the attacks of the monster.

Particle effects from hits is definitely one of the worst things in the game, I don't know if PC has any mods for it yet though.

You learn to see through it but it's not great.

I think you might need a mod, or to just learn to power through it (I wouldn't recommend a mod for a good few months for fear of a potential ban-wave.) . I was under the impression that the Hit Effects setting in options would fix your problem, but doing a quick test, I'm not noticing any significant change, so don't think it will help your use-case.

There is quite literally an option to turn down the hit effects. Capcom actually listened when players on Switch (myself included) complained about it.

I just tested this on OP's behalf. I'm not noticing any change, unless it is requiring me to reset the game or something. Actually, I'll try that real quick and see if that is what is needed.

Yeah, I just gave it a second test. Still super bright even with hit effects set to "Less" Least when using an elemental weapon. While it did reduce the effect for elementless weapons, it was not by much, mostly just reducing the radius of the effect by roughly half.

Thank you for testing this, I turned the hit effects down just last night myself and thought I was crazy for thinking they were still pretty up there with their flashiness. It is mildly better, but when you have more than two people in a hunt it still gets a little overwhelming until you adjust.

Happy to help.
