Volvidon seems to exist solely to be annoying. He rarely carts people but he's a pain to actually hit with melee weapons and has few weak spots.

Bonus edit: Khezu is annoying in multiplayer because people don't bring paralysis resistance jewels and also don't avoid his paralysis abilities

The thing about Alamudron is that the monster moves like a snake hyped up on meth. He's really annoying to try to hit, the mud poop it flings constantly gets in the way, pretty much every attack launches you 20 feet into the air, many cases mid air recovering with a wirebug results into Alamudron fling you into the air a second time, and when it decides to burrow halfway into the ground just makes it that much harder to try to hit the thing.

Alamudrron is not the hardest monster, but it is the flingiest monster.

See I find Almudron pretty easy to hit (CB main, solo), there are lots of big openings (particularly when burrowing). The mud isn't too hard to dodge if you know what's what and sometimes you just shouldn't air recover.

Honestly, when this game gets great fights going? it's something else entirely.. Those top 3 monsters I could hunt every day, been hunting Valstrax several times after first beating it and it's really one of the best monsters in these games.

Rakna I just love because of how unique of a monster fight it is. The moment I saw it become a Mobile Flame Spewing Tank of a unit? at that point I knew that I really like this monster and after repeat hunts, that hasn't changed, maybe she's a bit on the easy side, but I love the ideas that went into this fight, she is among the most unique monsters.

The others are also fairly stand out, especially Goss and Mizutsune, Magnamalo is also there because he is cool, but the moveset is something I struggle with liking and many hours I tried to understand its weird attacks, but this hell pupper is still pretty cool despite that.


Lastly, Yian Gargua release when? I want that funny chicken back to slamming its Uragaan jaw into the ground.
