MONSTER HUNTER RISE

MONSTER HUNTER RISE

Ibushi Rampage
I am looking to farm the Wind Serpent Orb, but these rampages are so insanely cancerous... constantly getting knocked into the air or off the ramparts, I basically spend most of the time airborne or running away and chain drinking potions...

I get them done in the end, and typically an A/B rating, but those 10+ last minutes alone with ibushi are agonizing... I got wind resist 3 but that doesn't seem to do anything whatsoever.

Has anyone managed to make solo ibushi rampages more comfortable? I just don't want to grind when it's this awful of an experience.

There is an HR 8 event quest with a solo Ibushi. I believe it is a more efficient and more fun way of farming Ibushi mats, including the gem.
First of all, I'd really recommend multiplayer if you have the ability to do it. Splitting the attention of the monsters will help you avoid getting bullied off turrets, and more players means more special shots like the ballista ammo that stuns the monster.

Try a heavy bowgun. Easily the best weapon in the game for the Counter Signals. Maintain a safe distance from the monsters and pelt them with shots that easily deal over 100 damage each depending on the ammo type, some are explosive and hit multiple monsters

It also sounds like you need practice using the Block mechanic on the turrets. You can hold a block button that prevents you from getting knocked off the turret when you're hit by a monster. A little annoying to time especially if you're distracted, but it's strong if you manage it

I was under the assumption original poster is already doing that.

Are you already applying the rampage solo tips I have with the hunter notes?

If you need any more pointers let me know.
Let other people join. Trust me, it makes it much more enjoyable and you basically always get minimum S rank on them. Which means more materials.

Also you can block attacks with R1 and charge the special cannon shots at the same time.

That Ibushi monster likes to send people flying up in the air and even with others it's not gonna change much.
All right, I like the HBG tip, especially if shield is working like in world, and the camera tips was also useful, thanks guys.

I don't remember how the Shield functions in World but it's definitely good in Rise
Just do the Ibushi event if you want Ibushi parts. Go to the cat across from the quest maiden in the village and download all "add on content" for the events. It's much quicker.

If you don't mind fighting Allmother, that's also a good way to farm for Ibushi materials. Takes longer than the event quest, but also you get Narwa and Origin rewards as a bonus!

Ok nice, I will try that, thanks!
ibushi is way less cancer in the regular battle at coral palace. do that instead. this thing just wasnt made for solo rampages clearly.
Your entire first paragraph practically screams that you need more practice. NONE of those things you're describing should be happening consistently.

I'm too lazy to explain how to optimize your Rampage runs. Hit up YouTube for some tips.
When you get to the point of fighting Ibushi, don't even bother with the emplacements. Only use the Limited Summons, Wyvernshot and automated artillery, which should be set up in advance. And then use the counter gong. You should only fight him face to face.
