Lottery Trinkets
I was just wondering how the achievement "Sturdy Padlock" already has 1% players unlock. I'm at 120+ hours on the game and haven't gotten a single lottery trinket yet.

Some people are insanely lucky and get them extremely, other slowly. For every 100 jackpots you automatically get a trinket. So don't forget to partake in the lottery regardless.

Best strategy is to quickly fail quests or complete if it's faster for you, and then there's
a 20% of a sale going on in the village. Lottery tickets don't seem to help the chances but who's to say. If you want lottery tickets you also have a small chance of obtaining those when purchasing items, doesn't seem to matter how much money you spend when buying items you just get one rarely after buying something from the store and exiting.

It's the lottery. Luck! Also there are ways to rapidly cycle the game I.E failing that one arena quest with Rajang that only allows 1 faint, which can brute force the lottery as quickly as possible I guess.

Also not sure if you explicitly need 100% of all the trinkets in the game or just a certain amount of trinkets in general, but I do know you get scrolls for each monster you've hunted 10 times (but they cost like 1000 points each from the Argosy so might get expensive to nab all of them) so I guess if you only need say 50 trinkets or something you could quickly gather monster scrolls to do it?

Either way, meh. 1% is still a low amount of people, and Rise has been out for long enough now that people coming into the game with knowledge from the Switch plus the enthusiasm to play the game all day every day could make some great progress on certain achievements etc.

i got the layered armor achievement after only crafting a few sets so you may only need a couple trinkets to get the achievement for that as well not every single one.

I dunno man, if you get unlucky with those lanterns, even with Botanist 1, you can end up having to grab like up to four plants which means travelling to another camp usually - although you do get a bunch of useful stuff out of it and a bit of zenny so it's worth it.

You don't need to be lucky to get carted by Rajang once while wearing subpar arena gear though, lol - although for me, failing quests especially on purpose is not something I'm col with :steammocking:

It takes less than a minute to get those lanterns
You pick one at the first camp, then travel to the second camp and grab 2 to 3 others

I'm not sure if it actually counts the lottery trinkets; it might just be hanging scrolls + relic trinkets.

Or in fact might just need you to fill all of the relic slots in your house (9) plus have a hanging scroll other than the default.

I think there's always some sort of cheaters for steam achievements, it's not easy to find a game where there are achievements nobody has yet. I don't quite understand the achievement this post is discussing, but it sounds like something that would be super unreasonable to have this early

I just got one today! It was a submarine! A green submarine! After 102 hours!

Game has been out more than long enough. My friend I've been playing with has 10 trinkets and hasn't done any farming. I have been unlucky and only got 5 so far without any farming. If either of us were trying we would have had it by now. Both nearing the 10 kills of every monster and that isn't hard if you're focusing it.

Fair enough if that's true, just figured I'd bring attention to the fact that steam achievements are cheatable

Another thing I think I should mention. Can you cheat items into your inventory? I think you can do stuff like monster materials and zenny, but I'm not sure that kind of manipulation extends to this achievement
Dr. Raven Jan 28, 2022 @ 9:08am
Well people can just use SAM to cheat for achievements, that's always been the case. Chances are those make up 0.3 to 0.5% of people who buy the game. More when achievements actually give benefits.

If you find someone in-game with the achievement that might be a bit harder to cheat/mod for, as SAM can't quite do that to my knowledge. And they'd be self reporting if they were cheating for the awards without the stats to match it on their guild card, which would be doing the opposite of whatever benefits they'd supposedly be getting(bragging rights?)
