MONSTER HUNTER RISE

MONSTER HUNTER RISE

Statistiche:
When should I fight Amatsu?
I've done every monster save the Risen Elders, (and P. Malzeno) I think got an 85 Anomoly Rating, but I just can't seem to do enough damage to actually beat Amatsu. I time out by myself, and with a group of randoms doing the urgent quest, we just end up triple carting, even when I play wide range support to try to keep everyone healed. (One or two might be because I'm a bad healer, and I'll take blame for that, but there's literally nothing I can do if you get one shot by his ultimate attack). I've tried Bow, I've tried DB, I've tried CB, and I can't do enough damage. Last time I tried, I broke every part, but still didn't even get the blue skull before time ran out. The only thing I can think of is that I'm supposed to do it with top of the line Qurious Crafted and/or Risen Elder gear or something. That or I keep trying and failing until I eventually beat him, cuz skill issue.

I'm just going to assume they got carried by their friends while playing "support". That build in solo is just not going to work at all. I'm not saying there's something wrong with a "support" playstyle, with good coordination it can work.
The reason why they're hitting a wall now is because of the monster health pools getting so large (+30k health per player for amatsu) the damage gap is too big for the other players to carry, or that's what I'm assuming.

And for whatever reason, they are still using rarity 8 gear. Against endgame monsters.
Rarity 10 has more deco slots, more defense and better skills. There's no reason to keep using low rarity equipment.
Thank you for not keeping your criticism constructive and using this opportunity to assume and insult me, real quality post here. Glad to know I can't ask a simple question without getting flamed by the toxic community. Other people didn't have any issues keeping it civil, but no. This community is so toxic and noob-unfriendly its crazy it does as well as it does.

Petra, it's too difficult to give constructive criticism with a build like that.

The bread and butter of this MH game is affinity to crit, skills to increase crit damage and elemental skills.

Weakness exploit
Critical boost
Bloodlust
Elemental attack up (with Elemental weapons)

the other skills depend on the weapon you're using.
Those 4 are the basic of the basic.
And don't keep changing weapons waiting for something to magically work, stick with 1 and get good with it.

Yes it was harsh, but if you beat P-zeno, you should atleast make some gear from him or some monster near his level, like Furious Rajang or Silver/gold rath. If you like support playstyles, you may find the Hunting horn more effective as you can buff and heal simultaneosly while dealing damage so you can focus more on damage skills whilst still having that supportive function in the fight. Bow skills would be more like crit eye and critical element, as the bow tends to be the poster boy for ranged elemental damage

Also, randoms tend to be cartatrons, join a session please
i just cheese it with sticky cluster HBG easy. you just have to restock 3 to 5 times depends on you're rng of spare ammo

I believe Risen Kushala and Risen Teostra armors are stronger than Amatsu all except Heaven-Sent skill, which is extremely useful for not needing to sharpen your weapon.

If you try Amatsu as quick and early stage as possible, using Silver Rathalos light bowgun or Blood Orange Bishaten heavy bowgun can damage quite well. Hit and run away tactics should be carefully managed.

I think either Primordial Malzeno or Amatsu SOS quests can be the hardest in this entire game, because noobs love those armors and weapons without even understanding how to play against.

Good luck! and in case you cannot win, let me help you.

Charite Boots

Fully upgraded and qurios rolled for extra defense, adding up to 944 defense

Skills
Constitution 5
Wide Range 5
Marathon Runner 3
Quick Sheathe 3
Recovery Up 3
Speed Eating 3
Free Meal 3
Stamina Surge 2
Hunger Resistance 2
Partbreaker 1
Diversion 1
Coalescense 1
Burst 1

Not a great or optimal skill mix, but my thought process was playing with some friends so I needed wide range, etc. to keep them alive because they're still learning, with stamina skills to stay in Demon Mode as long as possible,

And finally using Araknabuster+ for bow, Rosenehrgeiz for DB, or remove the Stamina skills and add in Guard, Guard Up, and 1 level of Embolden with the Crawling Crusher for my CB build
You are using bow/DB without ANY elemental boost. Of course you are struggling with damage. That is like where 90% of there damage comes from is exploiting elemental weaknesses. Lack of Weakness exploit doesn't help either(its a free 50% affinity on weak spots, which equates to 12% more raw damage, bonus element with crit element to).

Just a quick run down, wide range, unless playing with people, is pretty much useless. Quick sheath on the weapons you listed is useless, or almost useless(charge blade CAN use it, but its not that helpful). Hunger res doesn't matter, part breaker doesn't matter, diversion doesn't matter, coalescense without other skills to support isn't that good. That is essentially half your armor skills that don't do much of anything.

And if you want to keep your friends alive, do more damage. More damage means more stuns, more stuns means more safety. They also should learn to heal themselves when possible.
