Something feels off about Zinogre in Rise

Zinogre is one of my fav monster from MHW. Very fun to fight.
With LS the fight is basically a dance.. I enjoy every single moment
But in rise Zinogre feels different.. IDK some of its attack are more delayed and some its attack are more frequent and fast.. and the hitbox are quite not right.. some of its attacks dont even touch me. I get hit..
Something about Zinogre in Rise I am not getting it..
AM I wrong Guys ?

What other mon hun games have you played? If world is the only other one, he was tuned WAY up in world in comparison to pretty much every other game.

Zinogre did get some beef up in Rise compared to World, but so did a lot of other monsters.
I'm sure you noticed, but Rise's pace is a lot faster in combat, so a lot of monsters that were in World also got a bit of balance changes to compensate. They also have some extra attack patterns that compensate for your wirefall ability, such as double-tap followup attacks that allow the punishment of instant wirefalling, or more aerials to counter wirebug maneuverability. Essentially, just like the hunter has adapted with new abilities, be prepared to face monsters who adapted with their own counters to those abilities.

They are definitely different fights in how they feel, with slight changes to the moveset and just how they generally behave. I think both are nice though. People think Zinny is overrated which I can definitely see the merit in, but people like him for good reason: He's unique even amongst fanged wyverns; he has a very fun and memorable moveset, equipment and design (and perhaps theme, as I think Zinogre has his own unique theme. I'm too busy actually hunting to properly appreciate battle themes outside of a few that particularly stand out to me).

I prefer that one. because i feel better about it.

No joke, I struggled with the Pre-sunbreak one before Sunbreak came out, and when i finally did it, i took a like 3 week break.
After I beat sunbreak i decided to try it again just for the hell of it, have you tried Zinogre Apex pre-sunbreak yet since sunbreak came out? He can still 1 shot through some augmented anomaly MR gear.. I call bs.

that's why i don't like fighting apex monsters, they are trash designed, i avoid all apexes because it turns the game into a no mistake race, you get hit once, dead, moxie save your ass once but that's it. This is just a video game we are allowed to make mistakes and take a few hits, apex fights are trash. Apex zino is the only monster i fight because i like it but the other ♥♥♥♥ apex can go to hell.

Im curious now let me try that monster again. I will edit after the hunt.
edit: i tried two runs, 1 with a HR set and 1 with a MR set and yeah, that damage was incredibly high with a MR set. Was pretty was.

I am stuck with HR 3.
Village story is over but somehow my rank not increasing.
I have killed over 50 monsters now.. what I am missing ?
In world after completing story your HR and MR cap gets removed.. But in Rise I dont understant whats happening ?

This is the wrong discussion for this, but are you doing the gathering hub quests? After the village quests, those are the ones you should be doing to progress.
