is the main rotation just spamming R1? its what ive been doing i havent been touching the B attack

with powercoating should i still spam or charge up full shots?

use normal/step shots until max charge > double power shot > side step > repeat
to increase bow range use pierce bow type and the "ballistics"skill also increase bow range

don't know about the combos + strats, but the Ballistics skill increases the max dmg range of arrows and bullets.

If you feel like you're too close, pay attention to the shot type of your bow. If you feel like you're in melee range, you might be using a Spread shot bow, which has a very close critical distance.

Rapid and Pierce have significantly more ranged critical distances and might be more the play style you're looking for.

Outside of Rampage Bows, shot type can't be changed, so you might limit your bow choice depending on which shot type you like most.

shoot until you reach the highest charge level, then start using the dodge cancels (dodge cancels give you max charge immediately) > shoot > powershot twice > dodge cancel > repeat... until you're about to run out of stamina. then finish it off with an aerial aim if you can.

you are probably using a spread shot type bow. use rapid or pierce if you wanna shoot from further away or get the ballistics skill.

What they said!

Bow doesn't really have a complicated rotation, it's more about positioning and aiming at specific weak points while dodging enemy attacks and being careful with your powershot timing. Throwing a couple of dragon piercers when you know you've got the time is very cool as well - does cutting damage on the tail, and works very well on long monsters! It's a very fun dance that you learn and get better at.
