Whoever says this game is easier than MHW must be crazy.
That's right, this game is not easy at all. Usually, those who say that are still playing the tutorial village quests.

While in Monster Hunter World I can kill Rajang, Raging Brachydios, Elder Dragons, etc., without much difficulty, in MHR I'm struggling to kill a simple 7-star Rathalos.

I tried a Zinogre then, and there was no chance of killing it. I even resorted to defender weapons and still couldn't do it. And they say this game is easy. Again, only those who are playing the village quests say that.

Most of those complaints came from people comparing late game Iceborne to base game low rank in Rise.

What is your HR / MR? I was just wondering..

I soloed both games. This one is easier.

Considering that I beat Amatsu on like my third attempt, Rise is easier.

i have almost 800 hrs in world ... and now 100 hrs in rise...this is definitely easier....i cannot count how many times i have escaped death with silkbind evades which would have been sureshort death in world.

The anomaly investigations is where the enemies start hitting as hard as they do in iceborne, but yeah like you're saying the wirebugs have made this significantly easier to avoid death. Combined with the end game builds its decently easier. I never got insanely strong in iceborne (i'm on the last 3-4 hardest fights) but the experimental builds they did in Sunbreak is bonkers

rise is far more beginner friendly than world, with how bug wire can give you so much opportunity (dodging, different moves skill, etc) i would say it's a build problem (decoration, weapon element) if somehow you can beat Rajang, or that Boxer monster on world but not Rathalos in rise
The reason I enjoyed Rise endgame far more than World is because it's easier, like you can have followers too if you're really struggling but solo is stills pretty easy especially with anomaly quests.

base game LR+HR Rise has very few total attacks that one shot the player compared to Iceborne, which would have been what most players moved to Rise from. This is, of course, like every single other game in the franchise where the last gen's G Rank is harder than the next game's LR/HR. Because of course it is.

This isn't even considering that Rise has a set of village quests that function as the game's tutorial. Village is where monsters have less than half the health and deal lower damage than comparable monsters in the hub, which is where the bulk of the actual content is for LR/HR. The tutorial is likely where the "Rise is too easy" complaints came from, because players going from Iceborne to the next game's low rank probably would be taken aback by quests even easier than low rank (even though that was their purpose).

Even with the lowered damage in relation to hunters, Rise monsters move significantly faster than monsters from World or previous generations where they had to stop and turn before attacking, lol. This makes for a solidly challenging adjustment period regardless of damage.

Then you reach Sunbreak, where the base MR monsters are solid introductions, but Anomaly monsters are *even faster* when enraged, an attack and move speed bonus very similar to Frenzied/Apex monsters from MH4U. This is where the "Rise is too hard" complaints began to surface.

HR MHW is the hardest the series has ever been, with the with the licensed game being a possible exception. Even MR was easier.

Rise is just pretty easy over all, though I never played Sunbreak.

i cannot remember .....how many failed runs of Behemoth to get the complete dragoon set and IG weapon..man those were the days.Esp after first week it was launched , it was nothing short of the raid. I though nothing would beat that in gaming...AND then ANCIENT LESION dropped....holy it was hell on HR and i though gaming had peaked and there can be no better thing. THEN CAME FATALIS in iceborne....rest was history!!!

So I don't think this is accurate at all, and really, dramatically oversells the difficulty of MHW's HR lol.

Behemoth wasn't difficult, and Extremoth and Ancient Leshen were challenging, yes, but I would argue they legitimately have nothing on old gens when you could hunt Fatalis event quests and he would cart you- dead from 100% HP after eating- by simply turning and moving his tail. That was the reality in older games. Maybe my perspective on Extremoth isn't so bad since we farmed the Drachen set the first night with no fails and then I resorted to helping noobs clear it for a month or so, but it wasn't really hard at all, especially since on PS4 people communicated back then when they needed help, lol.

We haven't had that difficulty for several generations now, but to say MHW HR was harder than MH1, Dos, or PSP FU is a laughably uninformed take. I'd also argue that AR300 (I guess technically 281+ for Hazard) or SI Risen Shagaru or Risen Crimson Glow Valstrax are harder than MHW's HR, as well, but I wouldn't be able to convince you of that since you haven't played it, of which I can't blame you since you clearly hated the base game.

Hurr, the game FORCED me to take all this help designed for new players to have an easy time! They made the game too easy!

MHW might not have been a mistake, but Capcom trying their hardest to get streamers and "Influencers" to go back to World just reminded everyone of all the 5th gen garbage that follow those losers as well the rest that World brought in. Shame, because there's a lot of good players that started in 5th gen.

I play games for the actual gameplay, you play them to follow trends and graphics. We are not the same.
