Codec problems maybe?

Monster hunter Rise told me to install something to play. but it didnt... and now idk what to download becuase MHR just always tries to start and instantly stops without doing anything.
my drivers are updated, game files verified, my antivirus is clean and ive run the game in administrator mode. as i said steam told me to download something which didnt happen and now it wont start at all.On some pages it says to install some kind of k codec but the website looks sketchy as ♥♥♥♥

K Lite Codec Pack, that takes me back, was a bunch of useless bloatware even 20 years ago. Even less usefull today.

Look up how to clear your shader cache and leave the game for a while after doing so. For whatever reason Rise needs to write the shader cache every time you launch the game, and even on my system which is beefy as hell it takes a bit.
