PC shut down (FIXED)
I have not been able to play the game due to a problem that I am totally unaware of and that is that when I open it, it loads the initial screen but when it reaches the start menu of the game, the pc shuts down, it only happens to me with this game, with the steam and xbox game pass version and it is not due to performance problems Since I don't have this type of problem with other more demanding games, could someone please help me?

for all the people who put a comment, thanks, i found the problem, it was the power supply, i changed it and now the game works fine.

update your PC through the settings. also check nvidia or radeon and update if need. uninstall, reinstall, optimize your game (i have nividia and it has a program that lets you optimize). lmk if it works. also it could be your PC handling too much? sometimes the dust makes everything overheat.

Which more demanding games? Can you run them right now?

Hardware issue. Nvidia cards place unreasonable demands on power supplies(like sticking a fork in an outlet unreasonable) forcing them to shut down. The basic takeaway is to make sure your PSU has enough capacitors and violates electric safety code hard enough to survive it.

There are plenty of videos and news reports on the topic. It's not the consumer's fault, it's more or less a finger pointing blame game between industries.

Edit: The starting screen is a simple 3d thing. Try setting a FPS cap and see if that helps.

I had similar problem with my last gpu. Problem was that when when load on your gpu is low - for example in game `s menu - your gpu is fine but when it begin loading game`s world gpu load starting to increase anfd IF you gpu have hardware problems it wouldnt be able to deal with heavy load properly and will shut down your pc. Usually it starts with one game and then later same happens in every game. You can confirm if its true by doing stress test on your gpu in FurMark for example. If you gpu will work fine like for 30 minutes in stress test then you gpu is fine and its some kind of compatibility problem but if it will shut down your pc - then you have to change your gpu unfortunately.

In my case, it was monitor issue... happened mostly on Rise but also happened less regulatly in other games when certain effects were rendered.

Upgraded my whole PC, still occured, upgraded my monitor, problem gone.

interesting . i never encountered sytem crashes due to monitor . isnt it just signal that goes to screen ?

this kinda of crash must be combability or faulty hardware issue

my monitor has just 5 months, so thats not the problem in my case, and in other games it works fine

- check temp of your pc
- check voltage usage and if theres problems there
- reinstalling the game.
- if you're using a pirated version it might have been this (not accusing you or anything just IF you are)

apex / state of decay / fc5 are not that demanding
rise doesnt look demanding cuz of its graphics but its a switch port and it uses more gpu/cpu than it should also RAM/VRAM , its possible mayeeeeeb possible that theres corrupted sectors there for you thats causing it.

i try with 3 versions honestly, the steam version, the game pass version and pirate version, i try what u said and it doesnt work, but later i try to open the game with a really bad resolution, ugly af, and, it works, but i dont gonna play like that

You said you're positive it isn't your hardware because you can run other demanding games. But what are your actual specs? It would help a lot if we knew what hardware we were trouble shooting.

A problem like that is almost definitely hardware-related.
Softwares don't randomly reboot computers because of bugs, at least not since Windows XP.
Most likely, faulty RAM, or overheating CPU.

If you have several RAM sticks, try removing one of them (turn off and unplug your computer before, of course).
If the problem persist, put it back and remove the other RAM stick.

Also monitor your CPU temperature while you play. If you see it skyrocket while playing, your CPU fan and radiator probably need dusting.
