ps5 controller for MHR.

im trying to get my PS5 controller to work for monster hunter. i connected my controller to my pc bluetooth like i would with my xbox controller but it isnt working. does anyone know of a way to get it to work?

ps5 controller does strange things with windows. Make sure steam is already open and the game isn't running. Make sure the controller is in pairing mode. It will flash blue very quickly to indicate it is in pair mode. I forget the buttons you press to force pairing mode so you'll have to figure that one out. Once windows detects the controller connect to it. Steam will give a prompt that the controller is detected and you should see correspondingly controller layout tab on the games steam page.

did you turn on the playstation controller config support in the steam controller settings?

as of right now im using dsx to play MH:World and MH:Rise with my ds5 controller and it works flawlessly, not a single problem whatsoever

Using PS5 Controller for a long time now.
Check Steam Settings (PS Config) and use a template given by the community (steam overlay and controller config). That worked like a charm for me.

Because the xboner controller is a pos, shaped oddly and actually hurts my hands because of how it narrows towards the shoulder buttons. PS4 and 5 controllers are pretty good. But actually, Switch Pro Controller FTW! Best controller Ive ever used in 35 years of gaming.
