raising anomaly rank
With the cap now up to 300, is there a way to raise anomaly rank without grinding for days? You barely get 1 level per hunt. I'm at rank 181, even assuming 10minutes per hunt (including loading and prep times) and 1.5 hunts per rank, that's like 30 hours of non stop grinding just to access the new content. Am I missing something to boost the rank gain? If not, is there a mod / save editor or sth because I'm not grinding for days just to try the new anomaly quests.

A lot of people acting like anomaly quest are harder and that skipping levels would cause you to hit a wall. Anomaly monster have more health, yes, but that's all they have. As long as you're targeting those qurious, the monster will constantly be exhausted, resulting in an easier fight. The aids blight also makes the hunt easier, so long as you stay aggressive. This isn't like MR1 players ruining Fatalis. At worst they'll be doing less damage than you.
99% of high level investigations will be Risen where they never pop unless you dps like crazy... then they never stay exhausted 99% of the time they go risen, you knock them out, they get up and go Risen again lol. unless you mean special investigations in which case those are worthless for anyone who hates anomaly because the grind basically ends at 241 and there is NO reason to keep going.
Wait, so you unlock special investigations at 241, not 300?

241 is the last anomaly material for you to 'unlock' everything in the game. If all you wanted was decorations and augments, that's when you call it quits. Special investigations are at 300, and they don't give you anything new, they're just for a challenge and a badge of heroes. So this new patch didn't actually introduce an INSANE grind, unless you want those special investigations.

From what I could tell, special investigations add new moves to monsters. Locking that kind of content behind 20+ hours of pointless grind is insane to me. "we know you've already hunted the same handful of monsters 361 times, and you've maxed out your weapons, but you have to hunt those same exact monsters 90 more times to fight these new ones"

Somebody I saw online tested the Special Investigations... It's a minor damage increase and massive health increase. That is all. Comparisons of HP he listed were:
Furious at level 300 (one person): 97.2k HP
Furious in Special Investigations (One person): 144k HP

They said no new moves.

So they lied on the TU5 announcement? Or did the person testing only did 1 or 2 special hunts and just spammed stun lock.. knocked downs... etc?

Edit: I'm gonna find out eventually, working my way up now.

I think it's the person testing it. They never said new moves from what I recall, only larger attack radii (which we saw with the lagombi snowball being almost like Zenith Blanonga's), and deal more damage. They essentially all Hazard Quests, just less fancy moves. It's for players that play the game to kill ♥♥♥♥ for the sake of killing it, rather than being given something.

I was pretty sure they said new moves, however I will take a harder hitting move, then nothing at all.

We all did it, I stopped at 211 on TU4. I'm sure you can just use cheats to get you up to lvl 300 if you wanted.
Unless a new mod has come out or an existing one has been updated i don't believe that there is something to edit your AR level.

I hope to be proved wrong on this though

Edit: Probably the best mod I could find.

Edit 2: looks like you need fluffy for that... IDK.. Good luck.

"...such as increased strength and wider breath attacks." Nothing in the event said new attacks, just modifications on existing attacks.

IDK what you were expecting, they never said new moves. Sounds like somebody hyped themself up for something that was never said.

Yup, I suppose he can just use the in game cheese's instead: As indicated in this discussion someone already made it to lvl 300 in less then a day of it's release.

Holy ♥♥♥♥♥ all this casuals want to use cheat codes strait up. Go touch some grass and uninstall this game its not for you, period. :mhwno:
Honestly, yeah. the folks cheating their Anomaly Rank will be complaining very soon there's nothing to do.
The real problem is they don't learn how to play and then cart until the mission ends :colorbars:

We just need to call things by their proper names.
Its not "cheesing", its not "editing", its not "moding", it is - Cheating.
The reason why many ppl dont want to deal with multiplayer mode. Simple. :sunekosuri:
