The developer is also Japanese so "asian".
I like the aesthetic in MHR. Feels more in line with previous entries in the series. Quirky, fun and lighthearted.
Don't worry though, MH6 will probably go back to the westernized feel approach because their goal will once again be to appease to the masses.
Asians account for a larger percentage of STEAM users each year. In particular, the number of Chinese, whose economy is growing rapidly, has reached three times that of the U.S., according to some analyses. Below are sales by country.

Surprisingly, sales in Indonesia exceed those in Germany, the UK, and Japan. Sales in Thailand and Korea also exceed those in France. These facts lead us to the following conclusion. In other words, when considering the future size of the market, it is more profitable to make games that are preferred by Asians than games that are preferred by Europeans and Americans.
So, perhaps other famous IPs, not limited to Monster Hunter, may also have a string of games set in China.
Dont have to justify anything then.
That kinda does make you sound a bit racist, especially so when combined with saying that you aren't racist. A person who's not being racist doesn't need to point out that they aren't being racist, because they aren't being racist. It gives a vibe similar to "I'm not racist, but-" a catchphrase used when someone is about to say something racist.
You don't seem know much about this series.
