A question about withdrawing from quests
do you still get the full quest rewards if you leave the quest after all the required monsters are killed? seeing a lot of people just straight up withdraw from the quest without carving in random hunts recently, is this normal or am i just out of the loop again?

You get to keep whatever you get during that quest

So,e.g
You only need Rathalos tail
You enter quest, rush toward Rathalos
Cut off his tail
Carve his tail
Once u get the tail, Return (not abandon) from quest

You get to keep the tail.

Some people use this strat to get mantle

Take Gold wirebugs, Mount the monster
Crash into wall
Take shiny
Return

I guessing it the mod that michaelroelant mentioned

If I not wrong(I need to double check),once you complete the quest

During that 60seconds countdown, the "Abandon quest" and "Return from quest" options are greyed out

So you can't leave,unless you alt+f4
But that will result in you losing progress and rewards

There's a fair reason to skip the carving process, that you don't have to stare at your character doing nothing for a good 45 seconds after you're done carving. This was even worse back in base Rise or early parts of sunbreak when hunts themselves literally took no longer than 4 minutes meaning that you're spending 1/5 of your hunt time just waiting for the timer to end. I don't know about auto-carve mods, but I do use timer skip mod and skip the timer once I'm done with carving. And honestly I don't see how auto carving mods can be an issue either given that it only lets other players grab stuff and head out early and doesn't impact other players whatsoever.

Well, yeah 45 seconds of doing something at the game you already palying is absolute tragic, wasting your presious time - hell no :D:D
I just cant stand those kinda things.
As for me, iam at the point of the game when i dont carve at all, there is no sweaty farming in Rise (for now atleast), you get tons of materials for just completing the quests anyway. So installing some kind of bs for even that is just like, bro do you even play the game at this point.
For me its just stupid, but yeah, whatever :kodama:

Well good for you. I acutally don't carve most of my monsters as well. And just like that now it is a whole minute that one has to wait to return to village. Just like how you can't somehow stand someone else who's doing something that does not affect your gameplay at all, I also cannot stand not being able to progress forward simply because the game locks you in a timer where you have no control over. Do I even play the game? Well.. I think it's very clear which part of the game I like and which I don't. (Hint: I like the part where I actually do stuff, and I don't like the part where I just have to wait doing nothing when there could have been an easy solution to it.) So yeah, I can confidently say I'm not missing out that much to the point where we need to discuss about "even playing the game", because I am.
For me it's just common sense, but I guess to each to their own.

I mean, just mod in 9999 of everything in the game, if the whole 1 minute is so critical to you, why saving 1 minute - you can save All your minutes :D
We can stretch it to that point, you know..)
But, in the end of a day, you do you yep. Its just my opinion.

Well, I just do the things I find fun. I don't feel the need to skip the hunting process since that is literally the reason I play the game, not necessarily the 1 minute wait. So yeah.

800+ hrs on CS2, 480+ hrs on dead by daylight, 460+ hrs on dota 2, 330+ hrs on MH world, 285+ hrs on rocket league, 240+ hrs on payday 2, 194+ hrs on skyrim. Do I need to keep going?

There is no need to shame people on how they spend their free time. Its their free time, let them play their games. If it really upsets you how they do it, then block and move on.

(not defending how they acted btw, just like... no point in name calling, just degrades your point)
