Fun to play with GF?
Is it fun from the start? We get bored easily.
We had a ton of fun playing rogue heroes (pixeled zelda-like roguelite) because it was so simple and straight to the point.
Wished hogwarts legacy had coop, but we enjoyed playing that together solo.
We refunded Sun haven because it was sleepy first 10 min of the game.
Stardew valley doesn't have any dungeons so that's a pass (we like farming in game but not if it's 100% of the game).
I've played 10 min of monster hunter world and was bored and didn't even get far.
Should me and my gf play try MHR or MHW and is it fun from the start?
We always have fun creating the characters and then start feeling sleepy when we don't know where to go and what to do.

tiktok gen gets bored after 10 sec
What do you want to hear ?
There is a demo so test it and if it doesnt click move to the next game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1836450/Monster_Hunter_Rise_Sunbreak__Demo/?l=german

have you already tried grounded? it was some nice action with nasty bugs in the garden but also lots of grinding to build fancy bases
https://store.steampowered.com/app/962130/Grounded/

hogwart is also getting a multiplayer mod
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_HF2Ujoksg

resident evil 5 and 6 was also good coop action imo
no grinding just smashing zombie heads
https://store.steampowered.com/app/221040/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/21690/

or some extensive grinding with vikings in valheim
https://store.steampowered.com/app/892970/Valheim/
beginning is pretty rough

want some good jump and run coop action with a tiny competitive element while nothing feels as good as using the dead corpse of your friend to reach the finish line
https://store.steampowered.com/app/238460/BattleBlock_Theater/

trine series was also good coop jump and run action
https://store.steampowered.com/app/35700/Trine_Enchanted_Edition/

sackboy also arrived at steam
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1599660/Sackboy_A_Big_Adventure/

craftopia for fans of zelda
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1307550/Craftopia/

terraria is another good 2d looting and building game or starbound literally terraria in space
https://store.steampowered.com/app/105600/Terraria/
https://store.steampowered.com/app/211820/Starbound/

Based on what you wrote and my long time experience with Monster Hunter and other games, I would not recommend this game for you to play with GF.

I recommend as alternative which is fairly cheap as you can use Remote Play with just one copy very well
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1599600/PlateUp/

Other than that, taking everything else into consideration I do not think there is a suitable game for your two archetype of players aside of MMORPG-like games. Elder Scrolls Online is currently cheap to get, but I strongly recommend Final Fantasy XIV, with the downside you need to join guilds/clans/free companies and so on.

If you are daring maybe you can get into Lost Ark and alike, but I tend not to recommend F2P models due to very "modern" aggressive marketing. There are really not many good coop games which lasts long, and for more recommendations there is too little information on what game you like aside from action/accents of creative farming a la Rune Factory.

monster hunter rise demo wasnt so bad but i think i want something more casual actually.
craftopia looks great but whats the deal with all the mixed reviews recently?
and i've came across grounded and smallland before and they both looks good, but im not sure if we want to grind for items too much. same reason i want to avoid valheim, i played it for about 2 hours and felt like i was wasting time.
there doesnt seem to be any games that can match up to rogue heroes, animal crossing..
we want to play a game that has progress RPG, but like so much depth as it would take hours to learn. something casual RPG with coop with some farming/dungeon.
man i wish animal crossing had dungeons.

Again: Monster Hunter is not such a game like V Rising
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1604030/V_Rising/

And it is no Spiral Knights with farming either.

So, you don't seem to like any of the good games you've played, you quit some of them after 10 measly minutes of playtime because you're too thick to figure out what you're supposed to be doing, and want recommendations? Ok... :csd2huh:

With that kind of attention span you're better of just watching tiktok videos or something, not playing video games.

When you draw your limit at 10 minutes to see if a game is fun or not, i'd be surprised if there is a single game that you dont find boring.

"then start feeling sleepy when we don't know where to go and what to do. " Try using walk throughs.

yeah like i said, rogue heroes was fun from the start. that's within 10 min.
we ended up playing stardew valley and we racked more than 50 hours already but it's still not as fun as 20 hours of rogue heroes we racked.
i think i like something arcadey and rpg/roguelite element that has coop.

If attention span/time investment is an issue, pick something else. I play this as a 'date game' with my partner, and she and I love it, but it's a lot of time spent in menus, grinding, etc. That said, once you've gotten into the rhythm you can easily play the game in short bursts of a hunt or two and still feel pretty satisfied, so if you can make it over the learning curve, give it a shot.

If you intend on playing mostly co-op, pick this over MHW. MHW's co-op is bothersome when progressing through the game, making both players enter a new quest, go find the monster and watch a cutscene, and then leave and post the quest all over again to be able to do the quest together. MHR just lets you do everything together from the start, and has much less 'side' content. It's mostly just about fighting monsters

This is the end result of a generation getting their entertainment in 15 second bursts.
