Endgame is boring
So the only endgame thing to really do is anomaly investigations, extremely repetitive and tedious. Grind until 220 or what ever. I think I'm 180, I just quit for a while because the endgame is not engaging. It's just grind and repeat. At least MHW had endgame diversity.

collecting wild animals to decorate your room was the real endgame. I put 10mil ants in my room just to spook my friends when they visit it.

Yes yes the diverse endgame content of running Tempered Vaal, Teo and Nerg for 10000 times (everyone hated kush). Or Kulve for another 10 k ... or Safi for another 10 k. And do not forget the guiding lands that is ... RNG on top of RNG. Where we always end up hunting the same elders ... again.. again and again.

Such diversity indeed.

Endgame is endgame... If you bored with it, either you had no life or suck at repetitive gameplay...

Most people had life, so coming back to endgame after working is still feel fresh to them.

I know this is a bait post. But i have to say Rise has the best endgame imo, it has found a solution to most other MH endgames, you actually hunt monsters other than like 3-4 endgame ones. Mh world also attempted this with guiding lands but not only was it a bit weird that regions would level down but once you got the few things you needed for upgrades there was no longer a reason to do it (plus all the monsters were the same ones at the end). In rise the investigations even later on can have low tier monsters thrown into the mix, giving good diversity. A mix between a more polished guiding lands and the current anomaly system would be the best imo. Maybe even give monsters a few upgrades to their moves, like they did with the recent lucent narga event quest, nothing much but just small little changes to make them a bit harder

That may just be one of the stupidest things I've heard.

IDK about diversity, at least relative to this game... BUT, Monster Hunter World *did* have collabs that kept us coming back, and rotational sieges as an additional incentive.

I ran out of interest in playing this game like a year ago. That's why I only have 47 hours in it. Apparently Sunbreak would fix that, but people scared me from buying it when complaining for paid layered armors, which is a huge issue for me, as it was most of the reason I stuck around in World for so long. Waiting for a steeper discount before I buy this game's DLC.

Then don't play it and find a new game. So long!

The sieges sucked... forcing coop for MH isn't fun. At least they changed scaling later but I just do not have fun on those hunts. Also RNG gear from them isn't cool either lol. Also the fact that they both aren't available at all times since the support for World ended is just straight up dumb because HR players cant even participate in Safijiva which is part of the rotation until MR.

I agree. I didn't play for the sieges, but I still should mention them. I will say that the later half of the sieges were fun, but it really was a slog to get to those points. That's assuming your team didn't fail, or downright quit before even getting to the fun part.

But are you sure people can't hunt Safi anymore? I haven't played in a while, but shortly before Monster Hunter Rise came out, they just made all monsters available to everyone. I don't recall them just barring monsters.
Yeah, it's pretty ♥♥♥♥. I hope they increase the exp gain tenfold in some update, and remove those dumb limitations from joining other people. There are many ways to make it at least a bit better, remains to be seen if they do anything at all about it. I doubt they'll do anything drastic enough though.

You sure THIS isn't a bait comment? Loads of people have issues with this awful AR grind, and somehow complaining about it makes it a bait post?

Nothing in this game can hold a candle to the diversity of joining random SOS in World. That was my World end game, and World also had some really fun event quests that people would often play either for the rewards, or just for the fun it.

Anomaly quests are very repetitive and similar, and you're punished for trying to join random quests, because either you may not find anything, or then it's too low level and it gives you useless investigations and very little rank experience. Diversity my ass, the diversity is so ♥♥♥♥ in these quests. They all work the same way. Every 3 monster quest first has 2 targets on the map, and then the last one spawns only after 1 target has been hunted. And there's always only 1 afflicted monster per quest. It's the same formula over and over again, it's repetitive as ♥♥♥♥. Same with the damn spiribrids, same route in the map every time, every quest.

Also I just reached AR180 and still I've only seen the same Apex monsters over and over again. Where's Apex Rathalos, or Apex Diablos? I'd love to fight against those and experience some of this diversity you speak of. There COULD be more diversity in these quests, but the AR gating of monsters makes it far less diverse than it could be.

As for GL grind, well that was NOTHING in comparison to AR grind. Fun wise, I'd say they're about the same, the difference however is that GL grind was much faster, and much more clear as to what to do, and what to go after. It was something you could actually complete, and then go back to doing stuff that is much more fun. The annoying grind that GL was in World now feels insignificant after having experienced this awful grind.

Joining random people isn't an endgame. Especially since a big part of the player base either plays alone or with friends.
