As a beginner you are better off by playing the base game first and only add the expansion later when you enjoy the game fully. The content is thankfully separated so you would not spoil yourself, unlike with MH:W and Defender Gear.
Is there already a sale again? Should not be long until the next Steam sale?
At the key store I trust, the game is offered for 16 euros. I think I can't do anything wrong with that and I'll buy the DLC later when the new content comes at the end og the base game.
Okay ~ you can lookup a recommended progression path here if needed
Feel free to try the base game entirely before worrying about the expansion.
I don't agree with this take. It takes some grinding to get to HR100, so feel free to go to DLC if you want to before that.
HR 100 is when you unlock the last monster in the base game and start doing Apexes. I think that's more what they were getting at, after HR 100 there's nothing new to get without the DLC.
pretty much. I went into the dlc when i was nearing HR 100, then i killed the last monster and headed straight back to the dlc.
There is the demo to test the gameplay and if you like what you see you are better of with the bundle than buying twice but to each there own method of wasting money and time
i can only agree you are around hr8 when you have finished the story of base game and you just make things harder for yourself by ignoring sunbreak until hr100
transitioning instantly into the dlc offer new silkbind skills, new methods to craft these annoying rng charms and also new options to get more stuff from these support stuff like palico safari etc.
I recommend it.
