Well PC you can mod it. The load times on pc are super quick. I play it with my ps5 controller with it's bluetooth connection. The game like goes on sale for 16 bucks and it's damn good deal. Normally I play alone but when hunting like a huge pain in my ass monster. People join my lobby / session rather quickly. The community is big and helpful if have questions about the games.

I've heard that the most people are on the Switch, I haven't checked in a while but I can easily believe that. Second biggest one would be on the PC, definitely. Especially since the game has already been around here for a long while.

The game was a switch exclusive...

As of right now, I can assure you that it is PS5. Because there are too many people who are no longer playing the PC version because there are too many people who have nothing better to do and are not currently playing it. I don't play it anymore either because I have nothing left to do.

None. Wait for MH6. But if you DO have to get this trash game, then I recommend PC hands down.

If you worded it "Will have" then, it's the Switch version. It has, currently, the biggest install base even comparing it to Steam vers (the 1st oldest port to date). There isn't a lack of Coop action when doing end game hunts. And there are even a few high level players dropping on the story progression using random SoS from time to time.

But if you mean the biggest playerbase for progression and Coop, it would have to be PS4/5 and PC Windows/Gamepass/Xbox. Though smaller playerbase, there are more current active userbase because the game just launched. Of course their number will be dwarfed when compared to Switch's and Steam's upon a big Title Update. So it all depends on how you view "will have the biggest community" question.

PC has mods to by pass RNG, everything else is an RNG nightmare.

Either community you go to, you'll have to deal with an inferior-to-World multiplayer system.

Player count wise, it's probably: PC > Switch > PS5

I'd choose PC any day of the week over the Switch version for numerous reasons.

Like others have said, modding potential can do quite a lot if you're into doing so.
There's also just the ability to use any PC to download and play Rise, which is, I assume, a lot easier than finding another PS5 to play it on.
That being said, a lot of Switch and PC users might be swapping over to consoles to play with the newbies while the ones who only have the consoles are just starting their saves, so I can't really say for sure until Capcom sends out a statement saying how many players were reached on each system.

there's probably more on console due to new players trying the game for the first time, same for when sunbreak releases

what mod is that?
PS version is pretty new, right? The best community should be there for all the non super late game stuff.

Yes, and that's why I said I can easily believe that? Not sure what you were going for here.
