Update 4: Still not a way to buy points?

Is there a way to cycle zenny into points, or at least a decent way of farming them?

If you could exchange between these two currencies they would've not separate them in the very beginning.

The most effective farming methods by far is still going into expedition during an upsurge and gather locale specials.

Also, when you reached Master Rank (Sunbreak) you will start too get more Kamura Points just by completing a hunt. The reward gets much higher when you reached a high AR, around 2000 points just by completing 1 quest, not counting the trade-in items you pick up.

How did you manage to run out of points before running out of Zenny?
Most run out of Zenny if anything for upgrades, Or do you mean Anomaly Coins?

Well if they were in base game they would spend a lot of points just for charms alone.
The points reward from end game of Sunbreak and qurio crafting system made zenny depletes faster than points.

TBH, that's any MH endgame. I remember going from 1% to bottom 99% REALLY quick in both Iceborne and GenU.

I agree that having two currencies would make no sense if there's going to be a conversion mechanism, but I asked because we are late into the game's active development life and I would think at that point it would be a good idea to allow some sort of cycling between the two currencies.

Just gather stuff that gives points when on quests. You can use that dog thing to highlight them on maps too.

Grab the account item deposits when you see them during quests or do upsurge.
I find the Citadel to be a pretty easy place because the Western side of the map has a ton of easy-to-get spots.
Eat for Tier 4 The Kamura Dango to get more points.

I buy a lot of Pale Extract and that ♥♥♥♥ costs A LOT of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ points when you're buying it so much.

When you have the special dango Harvester: that makes harvest items spawn faster go to a local items upsurge expedition and farm all the account items. Can get over 100k points in the time it takes for the local conditions to change.
