MONSTER HUNTER RISE

MONSTER HUNTER RISE

Please remove afflicted level restriction from anomaly quests.
The anomaly level restriction is really annoying on multiplayer and the grind is so long to raise anomaly levels that playing in groups would be a great idea. It feels really weird to have my anomaly experience lowered instead of increasing the lower level player experience.

If you: rush, make it a chore, or any of the sort, it will never be worth it.
I guess this is the crux of it, because to me it feels like a chore. i have to do one specific thing and one thing only to allow me to get where i want to go. hunter/master rank doesn't do that cause you can sort of do whatever you want in game and it counts towards it, you aren't locked into the same repetitive motion over and over

not really endless, less than 150 quests if you are going from 100 to 220 running quests your own level, if thats not the type of grind you like, then monster hunter is just not the series for you.
That is quite literally the worst argument for the scenario. "If you dont like pointless grind that doesn't mean anything and can be arbitrarily gained by spamming weak monsters then its not for you"

When the main game of rise has threshold levels that bring you up to the next tier which is urgent quests, and while yes there are some that are tied to master rank/hunter rank, you get increases to those levels based on everything you do.

AR is only gained in any significant proportion through investigations, but unfortunately the tougher fights are locked behind it.

There wasn't this level of pointlessness in base rise or majority of sunbreak and there wasn't any in world, and unfortunately with how investigations are the best way to level up is by doing the ones with the best multipliers which is extremely repetitive and tedious
its not a bad argument if its the truth. Different grinds for different people with different goals, thats all there is to it. this is one of the more tame grinds in gaming.
If you are spamming weak monsters to slowly gain levels, thats your own fault mate.

weak monsters is the only thing that i'm allowed to spam, as 120 is the max i can fight right now. tell me where i can set it so i can fight whatever level i want and i'll gladly do it.

So you really only see it as a number? Thats your issue.

If you can fight 120 right now you can get A8 monster investigations, sure they wont be level 220, but all anything after level 120 does is gain hp.
"This level 120 chaotic gore magala a weak monster, ohh woe is me" level 220 isnt going to fix that.

numbers are usually a very good indication of things, if i have 0 hp some might say that is a significant difference to having 1hp. I wasn't aware that there was no difference in damage scaling between 120 and 220, which sort of sucks, and if thats the case then i guess there isn't really anything else for me to worry about because afaik every monster still has a chance to turn up in a 120 investigation

I think the damage difference from a 120 quest and a 200 quest is like maybe 15-20% more damage, while 200-220 is like 5% MAX. so its basically, you will go from a three shot to a two shot cart at most.

Edit: What do you mean by "allowed"? As in, you cant find higher AR*?
What monsters are these "weak monsters"?
What Anomaly Rank?
Not the Investigation Level, but Rank.
AR3* and lower? AR4*? AR5*?

AR6* are already Espinas, Gore, Pyre, Rajang, and Bazel.
And from what I can tell via reducing their levels, they can appear at AR71.

By doing their quests, not Investigations, youre also able to unlock the ones one tier higher as well. (Edit 2: cruste had it somewhere in his posts iirc, this guy's one of the best people to ask for these information)

Got Scorn and Seething, and their level settings can be set to the lowest of 91

so far pretty much anything, and dont get me wrong, i understand that they are more difficult than base level enemies, but i guess i was sort of expecting the difference between level 120 and level 220 to be the difference between tempered and arch tempered monsters on world which felt way more souped up, but as Niamh just pointed out its not really a huge difference in damage.

we were farming a dual risen chameleos/scorned magnamalo earlier which was lowered to 120 but its just a regular fight. i may have been expecting too much but i was hoping that 220 would be miles different

the only differences i felt with tempered vs arch tempered was damage, which still isnt really a good progression of difficultly for someone like me that knows how to use iframes.
Anomaly seems to be playing on longer hunts to make more mistakes rather than just one shots.
If they could just mix the two.

Only ones that actually HAD a difference were:
Xeno
Nergigante
ATKT...well, final stage from what I can remember...
Other than that, most of them were the same as their base form.
Well, let's just say Luna is different as well...

Oh, and for IB, the only one that was different that I could remember was Velkhana. Sadly, there were only two of them

AT creatures felt powered up? They only had higher damage and hp modifiers. Maybe one or two new moves depending on creature.

Uhh, more hp, damage, and attacks are power ups?

So more hp damage, and damage? AT nerg and xeno were the only ones remotely different. Teo and val felt exactly the same.

More hp and damage is far better than no change at all if you are looking for stronger enemies

25% more damage and X amount of HP added (no idea cuz Niamh didn't have a percentage) is the same as the ATs you want
