i don't use followers because the aggro keep messing up it's really painful chasing around the monster attack 6 different targets.
I think they should buff monsters proportional to the followers' assistance, because this is a nice feature for people who want these followers, either as support, or just because they like the characters and this can also make leaving them out as an option too, at the cost of losing their other support, because something like this would help me justify bringing followers with me even when I want hunts to be fairly challenging.
If that's the case, they should just make the anomaly grind itself less terrible.
But I noticed that they very rarely take aggro. Like barely a few times. If it was more than a handful, I'd shave 3-5 minutes off a fight.
And I find it immensely faster in a squad of decently equipped players. Compared to using followers. But I use followers a lot now, because literally nobody joins me at high tier anomalies. Even if they do, usually they die immediately because of no spiribird collecting.
And some say the hunting horn duo buff with Hinoa+Utsushi is broken. Eh... maybe just a slight boost to overall hunting timer..... But I just use NPCs I like instead, because honestly they all feel useless.
Depending on the Palico Special Gear.
You get:
Constant Vigorwasps.
One Free Revive.
Reasonable Damage Boost from Horn.
Or Damage mitigation from Horn.
The Shieldspire Decoy made Tough Fights like Fatalis noticeably easier.
Because it'd take the Aggro away from you completely.
And who can forget the Plunderblade? Full Fatalis Gear without even actually killing it.
And add to that, the Palico in World would always take away aggro. It was frequent enough that elitist players that hunted in Alatreon or Fatalis Solo/Duo, would rage and unequip Palico for messing up their rhythm.
......I even knew a few that called new players "Palicos" because of how annoying they would be when they took away aggro of monsters like Alatreon and ran them across half the map.
Not to mention that followers don't waste time by picking up spiribirds like 90% of randoms.
I am a CB Player got full elemental builds kitted out.
Hence why I brought up the point. I found the difference negligible.
BUT if.......... IF I were to super-optimize and go for maximum efficiency. Almost akin to speedruns, then I suppose it would matter a lot. Otherwise, I'll just bring along... whoever I personally like.
So are you saying I should drop Dereliction and use Utsushi's HH Buff instead?
I mean that'd let me manage health more easily. You should note that not everyone is a player that never gets hit or lands all SAEDs.
