Since I know someone who uses "Kagami" as their nickname for games, I was quite surprised at first hearing a male voice. The player I know was more of a very shy girl ~ good to have the preview, especially since the Japanese versions tend to differ so much from the English voices.

I had the impression most Steam players do. To me the English voices sound too foreign and often not fitting the personalities of the characters.

I know, but as an old player, wyverian just seems right. Less verbose too.

If I recall it correctly, the "Monster Hunter Language" is actually voiced by the Japanese voice actors too.

correct, it is why I swapped back to Japanese after trying to stay "true" with wyverian, it just sounds way too close yet not comprehend-able that it gets annoying, for me that is :)
